BBO is a sponsor of the Home Poker forum, so unlike most vendors, they are allowed to advertise, run contests and specials, etc., directly in the forum.

Not every company is like Wal-Mart, who can afford to deeply discount a few loss leaders and make it up with all the other crap they sell at full price. 10% off a poker table that retails for $600-$1800 is a respectable deal. If you don't like it, don't buy it.

It appears some people will use and enjoy this forum for free without any appreciation for the sponsors that pay the bills.

It reminds me of someone who would play in a home game, never contribute anything, and complain about the snacks.

I love the product, but a post just to hype up the discount which winds up being 10% is ehhh, and I'm in advertising

I've referred 2 folks who wound up buying tables fyi

BBO is a paid sponsor of the Home Poker forum - they can post whatever they want about their products here. Typically when they do post, it's to advertise a discount or a giveaway.

I still don't get the hate. 10% off a big ticket item like a poker table is a nice deal IMO.
