Plays just like traditional NLHE until the river, at which point every player gets a face down individual river card.

Among action players, it increases the action, as no one knows if the FD came in, or the board paired, etc. for each V. IDK how it would play at a nittier table.

Midwest region. Action is fine, but a lot seems to prefer it limit to no limit because of the 3 down cards and being able to use all 3. Nuts is always quads or better.
