Hi

Hi all. For misbehaving in the internet poker area I was "banned forever". After six months the admin has let me create a new account! I'm going to stay away from there! Bunch of flaming jerks anyway!

Now I don't have a hell of a lot to say that I haven't already said, just wanted to shout out to the friends I've made here.

I don't need you to put words in my mouth! I am able to insert my foot in my mouth just fine all by myself.

NEVER, EVER DID I SAY I HATE PLASTIC CARDS! If you really want to dig up that corpse go find the thread and read what I said!

IDK what you're talking about, but I'm beginning to suspect Live D0nk is a gimmick account/troll...

I think you're just missing the joke, though I had to look it up myself since I refuse to go anywhere near Jersey Shore.

Thanks Schmendr1ck. Apparently DTF doesnt like humor. Home poker is a SEROIUS forum.

By the way DTF, before throwing around baseless accusations, why dont you gather some evidence first?

Please find ONE trollish post that I have made and present it to HP. I dare you.

Okay, let's not equate "taking one joke the wrong way and getting offended" with "humorless d-bag," which dug is FAR from. He's a respected contributor to the forum and has cracked me up on a number of occasions.

That said, I haven't seen anything trollish from LiveD0nk. He's a noob around here but the content of his few posts indicate that he's got some experience running a home game.

I think you guys got off on the wrong foot, and I'd like to see you shake hands and try again.

Re: bluegarage is now newblue

Ok, I'm sorry I said you were a troll, LiveDonk.

I was wrong. You've obviously spent years and years running home poker games, and were goodly enough to come and share your expertise with us novicies. Thanks for coming to 2+2, educating us, and teaching us, among other things...

...proper poker grammer:

Not defending the angle here...just getting technical.
...What "all-in" means:

...How to build a "dining top" for a poker table, complete with video instructions:

tl;dr

...Need more help...watch my poker table instructional video.
Then there's this sticky-worthy gem. So much new, useful information! How no one ever thought of this before is beyond me.

START by STARTING a meetup.com poker group for your area. This is huge.
Also start a FB group and use sites like homepokertour.com and homepokergames.com
Next, craiglist ads every few days.
(Make sure you VET every player you meet online. A successful method I use is to require every player to register with my meetup.com group, answer several questions, and POST A PHOTOGRAPH OF THEMSELVES....this part is HUGE).

Finally just get out and start PLAYING POKER. Network as much as possible. Develop a unique angle that will generate interest...such as "I'm starting a WSOP Tournament Leauge" instead of "I'm hosting a weekly tournament."

Also, BUILD YOUR OWN TABLE. Its relatively easy and fun and can be a great way to attract interest. "I just finished building my first table and I cant wait to host a game!" is a great way to generate some interest.
I can't wait to see some strat posts; maybe you can teach us how to play poker, as well! Perhaps a milestone post is in order...

Re: bluegarage is now newblue

I guess DTF isn't interested in the whole shaking hands idea...

I'm not here to argue with some guy who clearly doesn't have anything better to do than flame me for no reason. I dont know what I said to incur DTF's wrath, and frankly I dont care.

With all respect to Schmendr1ck, I dont think DTF's behavior (towards me in particular, but at least one other) is representative of someone who is considered a "respected contributor" to this or any serious forum.

No, you were banned for using your business name as a screen name; it had nothing to do with that forum. Threads advertising who you were when you were banned for that reason aren't a good idea.
