Great Home Poker Web Sites

I'm trying to compile a list of web sites that home poker players are likely to go to. What are some sites you guys frequent?

http://www.homepokertourney.com/

Above is one of the first sites I found when getting into hosting tournies and games at my house. I find that site full of information.

Classic how-to on how to build a poker table. Me and a friend have used this guide with great success.

My personal favorite.

HPT is a good resource, although there is as much LC chatter as poker-related chatter.

Re: Great Home Poker Web Sites

You will find some on the FAQ.

Anyvite is not a poker website, per se, but it is one we use to arrange games.

Haters gonna hate, but I like CT (http://chiptalk.net/).

It's a phenomenal resource for info on chips; I learned pretty much everything I know about poker chips from that site. It's also a great place to see gorgeous custom chips, and they have sponsors who have great CT-only sales & discounts. You'll also find interesting hand discussions and amusing off-topic chatter there.

Plus, the core regs up in CT/MA are a blast to play with. I had the pleasure of attending one of their games last June.

I'll second TopPair.net

I'll also add BlindValet, makes home tourneys very easy to organise and the structures work out well.

I use a groupspaces group to manage my calender/email list/invites/rsvps - I am sure there are plenty of equivalents out there, but this works for me.

I agree with all of this. The other constant complaint I hear is that it's hard to navigate. The thing about CT is that it's a much smaller community. The best way to cruise CT is to hit the search new threads link. Everything posted since your last visit is condensed in one or two screens.

arrrrrgh. what a horrible way to not organize things. they should just have one forum then.

My main problem with it (aside from the posters always assuming you track absolutely everything in every subforum, and the taste-free graphics), is that it will only load like 1 page a minute for me. If I click on a link, it times out, but if I try again a minute later, it goes through. Something's screwed up the last few months.

caragails.com is a great site for buying playing cards. You can't beat their shipping rates. $2 or less.
