Hi everyone! Registration is closed, and I just did the draw to set up the championship bracket, shown below.


Note that Round 1 is just schizm versus morgancapecod*, and Round 2 is where everyone else gets involved. However, only one match in Round 2 depends on the outcome of Round 1, so we can go ahead and handle both rounds in this thread.

Everyone please discuss with your opponent when you want to play. When you come to an agreement, please post your date(s), time(s), and variants in this thread. This (dual) round will be open from 12:00 AM, Sunday, February 1 through 11:59 PM, Friday, February 6.

Schizm and morgancapecod, feel free to schedule your match for sooner than next week if that works for you, so that we can get the rest of the bracket to fall in line. If you can't, that's okay, but I'd appreciate it.

Just to clarify before I schedule it, this is Eastern time?

Come to think of it, everyone please specify time zone when you give your date and time. I'm working from Eastern time, obviously, but I can figure it out on my end from whatever you give me.

Eastern time, we live around 100 miles from each other.

The Big K and tycho_bray, your matches have been scheduled (all Eastern times):

PLO8 at 8:00 PM, 2/3
HORSE at 8:30 PM, 2/3
NLHE at 9:00 PM, 2/3

You only have to play the NLHE match if it's a tie after the first two, but make sure you register for all three upfront. If fewer than two players are registered by 5 minutes before game time, PokerStars auto-cancels the tournament.

Stars can be a little unreliable sometimes with reporting results, so please post your outcomes here as a backup.

By the way, I can't restrict registration for these tournaments to just the participants, so in theory, anyone could just join one of them and screw things up. Be warned, if you do that, you'll be DQed from the championship if you're in it, and you'll be perma-banned from the club.

Thankfully, I don't expect this to be an issue, but I wanted to get it out of the way.

If you set these up as heads up tournies, they need 4 people to run. They need to be full ring....
