Re: Custom ASM Chips

if you haven't, read the article on chiptalk about how to oil them to really bring out the colors. I did it with mine and got great results.

If you play lots, they'll get oiled up over time with people touching them.

The first order came pre-oiled and look great, the pics don't do them justice. The next order that's on the way I haven't decided if I want to oil or not. Every other set I've oiled through play, but I really liked the first order ones that were already oiled so maybe I'll spend the time to do it for once. Will decide when they come in probably...

Re: Custom ASM Chips

Bah. Just saw that newest update that the 1" inlay isn't available until the Fall which matches my current inlay size. Not sure if I should order now or hold out on the order. I've already waited a long time to order waiting for the 44mm so not sure if I want to wait the extra time.

I figure it is a black inlay/black chip the inlay size won't matter as much, but the font size will be different and may look funny. Not to mention with the oversized chips the inlay will already look small and if it is actually smaller it might look tiny.

Minimum order is 200 chips as well. I will never need 200 of them (that would be sooo sick though). I'll get a rack of hundos and need to figure out what to do with the rest. Perhaps a rack of oversized secondary $20?

Re: Custom ASM Chips

The hundo I mocked up won't work as that spot combo isn't available so here is what I'm thinking now. Top row is current set, bottom row would be 44mm $20 & $100 add on.

Re: Custom ASM Chips

Holy crap, love the first version of the hundo with the v spot.

Also, I suggest waiting for the larger inlay. If you don't , you'll always have regrets.

Top row is the 20s I already have the bottom row are just ideas. Looking for some feedback on them as my original idea won't work so I'm having to rethink the hundos and also think im going to add an oversized 20 since i have to order 200.

Re: Custom ASM Chips

I read it, but not clearly understanding is as good as a grunch.

If it were me, I'd wait to get everything matched up. It would bug me having mismatched styles. You can do that in the fall, right?

Re: Custom ASM Chips

I like the 4D14 hundo. That spot/color combo has always done it for me on a black chip. You can still get the 4V12 on the $20. I think the grey/orange spot could be really cool but I wonder how it would look with the ASM yellow. Which yellow is that in the mock up? Have you seen the new bright yellow they added this year? I don't have a sample chip of that yet.

Re: Custom ASM Chips

^^^^ yes, the green-on-black 4d14 hundo is yummy-looking. One of my favorite sets uses that combo with a black inlay:
