so we played it at the end of the night after a few drinks, must say very fun game but dont think i would ever play it competively. To many swings lol. We kept it PL with thru coz some of the ppl we play with dont play to often and didnt want to play NL at the end. by the last round of bets tho PL became useless as there was mostly always enough in the pot to push someone all in.

Gonna give it another go next week

Actually, I usually see the opposite situation. I play with such nits that a lot of times we hit the pot limit round and there's less than a big bet in the pot which effectively makes it another limit round.

Out of curiosity, what game do you guys usually play?

We play a NLHE tourny, then just cash games after its finished. Most only buy in for $25-30 for the cashy at .50/1, so really only around 25bb. Thats why theres usually enough in the pot. The cash games at the end of the night are usually just for fun so know one really buys in for more, and no one wants to drop the blinds down. Also everyones loose by that time of night. lol

I figured I'd revisit this thread. This game has become a fixture at my weekly home game for some time now and so have played quite a bit of it. I have made one small change, though. Instead of two community cards coming out at the end, they come out one at a time with a betting round in between. It got way too drawy in an already drawy game with two river cards. It was impossible to price people out of draws so it was very swingy as horny goat weed said before. This change makes it a lot better. The additional betting round is also No Limit.

PS. This game will be available to be played online at my new site when it eventually goes live as well
