Okay, now that it's all but finished, here are some pics of the room. The only thing missing at this point is the TV, which will be hung on Saturday before the game.

Angle of the room from where the TV will be:

Chip Stack Poster:

House Rules Poster:

Length of the table picture:

Baker's Rack repurposed as a bar:

First game is tomorrow night. The only big issue currently is lightning, but I'll be putting a lamp in the opposite corner until I can put aside the money to have an electrician come out and move the light fixture and hang a ceiling fan w/ lights over the table.

And definite thanks to my wife and her accomplices in doing the painting in the room while I was out of town with the kids.

Fantastic.

I really like the cupholder layout for some reason, although still prefer drinks off the table.

Posters are cool too.

Well done!!!

My next table won't have the cup holder design of this one. They are neat in theory, but they can be a pain to clean and chips and cards have dropped in them on occasion.

As careful as folks try to be , table top cup holders will eventually lead to some major drink accidents.

A nice uncluttered start up room. Lots of space to add stuff over time. Thanks for the show. Enjoy!

I'll see about some pics of the cards/chips today. They're nothing special. I use Da Vinci bridge size for the cards, and I have a set of Milano's for cash game chips (and cheapo knock offs for tournaments).

However, the wife has signed off on me getting custom chips, and I finally settled on a design for them. Having grown up in NC, I was indoctrinated in the big four for college basketball, so I'm going to do this:

$1 Chip - UNC - Light Blue
$5 Chip - NC State - Red
$25 Chip - Duke - Green (because Duke makes everyone puke)
$100 Chip - Wake Forest - Black

FTFY

I approve! Even if Dookies would say the green is for envy.

I did have some spots, but obviously I'm horrible about checking this day of game. Hit me up via PM, and we can talk about the next one.

Being from Ky , Lexington, I "might " be a little one sided in my view that Duke should be the lowest value chip possible! Continued good luck with the project.

Being a life long Wake Forest fan, I can't blame you for that viewpoint. My wife is a Syracuse fan, so she has her own viewpoints. To be honest, I would have preferred an ACC team with green in their color scheme, but I refuse to use Notre Dame.

Sure, once I have enough posts I will make sure to PM you! Also, do you normally play .50/1 NL?

.25/.50 or .5/1 NLHE and 1-3 button blind Omaha (button picks hi or hi/lo)

Here are the mock-ups for the custom set I'm considering right now. This was done with Sidepot Gaming's Custom Poker Chip Design tool.

$1 - University of North Carolina

$5 - North Carolina State University

$25 - Duke University

$100 - Wake Forest University

I'm not 100% tied to the designs, but it's a start of what I'm considering.

That's always a possible issue. If it becomes one, then I'll go back to the drawing board. Getting these is still several months off (having just bought a house, extra cash is a little missing at the moment), and it's possible I'll scrap this idea and go with another one. I'm still not sure I'm happy with my logic for forcing Duke onto the $25.
