Blind Valet gone? Blind Valet gone?

blindvalet.com seems to be gone. I am having a game this Saturday and am looking for an alternative site. Any ideas?

I sent a PM to JD Roak, who developed blindvalet and used to post here. I don't know if he is involved anymore, because the Apple Itunes page says it is offered by "Jeff Kelley."

Not bad so far.

I've used this for the last year or so. It's worked great for me. Loading the chipset was a pain, but it remembers all of my customizations. Worth a try for sure.

I've used it as well and was pretty happy with the program. Even better is you can load it up to show on a screen while playing too.

I play a monthly tournament and use a projector to display it on the wall. It is a bit of a pain in the ass at first. But like all programs, once you get used to the interface, it's as easy as can be.

I bet it's just temporary. seems like it happened before where his hosting barfed. I hope so. Love his setup.

I am now considering just buying The Tournament Director. That way we aren't required to have a web connection.

PokerDIY doesn't require a internet connection. However, it does lose some functionality (voice announcing blinds, I think) if it's off the 'net.

I've been using it for two years, and I'm happy with it.

Did you miss the part about Pokerdiy.com, with the WSOP Blinds?

I use pokerdiy offline. Works great. Voice still works. It doesn't tell you what the blinds are, but it says "blinds have gone up".

blindvalet.fr and .com are back online, in case anyone was having trouble sleeping over this.

We have use The Tournament Director for our weekly game (and have used it for over 5 years) with good success. Once all the players and setup are loaded it only takes a few minutes to get up and operational.

We actually have stats saved for almost every week but do not publicly share this info (there is no need to highlight to the bad players how much they've lost, a $20 a week loss over 5 years adds up to a big number when taken out of context).

I bought TD back in the day when I hosted tournaments, and I loved it. Admittedly, there were fewer options then for off-line tournament software. I would hesitate to rely on a web-based product simply because as great as they may be, connectivity problems seem to occur at the worst times.

Once you've loaded the page on BlindValet, a connection does not have to be maintained. We've never had an issue with it.

I've said it a dozen times before, and I'll say it again: If you can afford the (blocked at work) $40 or so Tournament Director is these days - it's a must-have for people who regularly run tournaments.

I sprung for the $3 BlindValet was on Android as a backup for when hitting "Snooze 15" on Gentle Alarm wasn't cutting it.
