Spoiler:
kingslayer def looked like he was struggling with his left hand

Spoiler:
That'd make sense given that Tyrion and Jamie were always really close.

lol btw, has it been mentioned that the guy who plays bronn (jerome flynn) was one half of some ****ty old uk duet that covered a bunch of ****ty american pop songs back in the 90s?
Don't know about that, but he's pretty good in "Ripper Street" as well.

Putting trailer talk in spoilers is ridiculous. Nothing is going on, but trailers. The 2p2 mobile app is complete aids with spoilers.

re-watching from the start, I'm midway through s2. Who was the masked woman in Qarth? I don't recall her being mentioned again after the garden party where she says some mysterious stuff to Jorah, but I feel like she was significant?

I don't think they mentioned anything more about her or specify who she is.

I don't think there's anything more to her than just being a mysterious figure. It kind of feels like there may be more to her in the books, but for the shows sake they cut her story short and that's all we'll see of her.

thanks, just checking I didn't miss it.

Damn this is a great show. It definitely improves on re-watching! The kid who plays Arya is a particularly good actress; doubt I'm sticking my neck out here but I can see her going a long way after this.

This show has gotten extremely lucky with how skilled their child actors are.

Lol ya, choosing a good cast is all luck. Wtf

The thing that makes GoT so epic for me is not just the cast and set, but how dark the plot is. Nobody is assured a bright future, and no show has ever come close in terms of portraying brutality and self interest in this manner.

Makes for amazing suspense

The "no character is safe, they killed Ned Stark!!" theory is nice and all but I seriously doubt the MOTHER OF DRAGONS will get got any time soon. No spoilers please! But that would seriously impress me as it would be a great way of showing that there really are no invincible characters. And she sucks.

Speaking of Khaleesi, I think Jorah is eventually going to screw her. He seems to keep getting shafted by her and I think it was foreshadowing when the mysterious masked lady asks him, "Will you betray her again?"

She can't die anytime soon, nor can Bran.

Everyone else yeah they might.

I thought this theory during s2. They don't "randomly" kill off anyone. If you go back and watch there's a brutal logic to this is how the arc has to end. It isn't always so clear while it is happening. There was no other way to end the arcs of Robb/Cat/etc given s1. But before Red Wedding I wasn't really thinking "oh yea they're just going to kill like everyone" because, well, I dunno. I just didn't see it happening even though in retrospect that is the only possible outcome. And the same was true with Ned.

As for why not Dany or Bran well it doesn't seem like either of their arcs has even taken off yet. Especially Bran. Next time any character seems to be facing untenable circumstances I'm going to assume they're dead, lol. Although using this I would've figured gg Sansa by now - I do think she's "safe" now. Imagining the broad arc there, I don't think she dies.

Agree completely. Especially in light of equally capable soldiers and diplomats at her side; Jorah has been moved to the margins quite a lot already and he doesn't seem so happy about it.
03-14-2014 , 08:40 PM
yeah I agree with all that, and it would be quite frustrating if Bran died as there's been so much teasing as to his powers and potential. I just think Dany's character is terrible, she's just a rubbish decision maker and has been on the better side of variance the whole way thus far, so it'd be pretty great writing if her obvious march to the throne were stopped in its tracks by a semi-mundane assasination. As a viewer I feel like I'm being led towards an inevitable dragons vs zombies showdown and it'd be refreshing to think a surprise is still possible.
