ya i feel that, but as i like to compare this to my other favorite show ever, phil leotardo was introduced pretty late into the sopranos and did a good job of being top villain imo.

13/14 eps is plenty of time to show how fkd off euron is/can be, especially with the other evil characters dead. (including cersei, after she wildfires KL and jaime kills her)

Euron seems pretty cool so far.

Just finished rewatching again to relive the feels. Got all choked up when Knights of the Vale showed up.

There's still time for LF to do something really heinous to be the true villain of the series. I'd always assumed back in season 1 and 2 that LF would eventually be that guy. I remember Varys mentioning (to Tyrion?) that LF is the one he is most concerned about, how he came from humble beginnings and in a short time achieved so much. Someone to definitely watch out for.

obviously the same can be said for varys, he is the one who counciled the mad king to open his gates for the lannister forces before the sack of kings landing. we've seen him plotting with illyrio in the dungeons, we've seen how vengeful he can be. I think its just as likely that they are 2 sides of the same coin and pretty much cancel each other out.

The show ending with Littlefinger having ****ed over Dany and the whitewalkers winning would be incredible.

Varys told him not to open the gates. It was Pycelle that convinced him to trust Tywin and open the gates.

Surely the mad king being dead was a good thing anyway

You mean like plotting and instigating the events that lead to tens of thousands of deaths just for his own personal gain?

Agreed. LF has clearly caused more deaths and sufferings than any other character.

Also, on a personal level, he's done things pretty much as bad as Ramsey/Joffrey. He may not do it himself, but he's had people killed and tortured (he turned over Ros to Joffrey to be tortured, he motivated Ros by telling her that he had sold a previous "bad investment" to someone that tortured her). The only real difference I see with him is that he's somewhat charming and seems smarter than the other two, but I don't see how he's much less of a villain.

Maybe I'm naive but I think LF is due for redemption and will become more and more of a 'good guy' than bad. Cersei, Sparrow, Euron are all minor baddies for next season I think but imo I think Dany is making her way into 'top bad' spot for Season 8.

Dany as top bad? come on What's with this siliness?

I think we are conflating character with traits of a bad person and badly written character. Dany is obviously the latter and not former.

To show how much tougher and smaerter Sansa has become. Since S4 she's been gradually positioned as future Queen of the North.

(@daenerys)

shes extremely self righteous and feels like she deserves the whole world by birth

if she gets her mind twisted just a little bit more offtrack really bad things could happen, burning people alive is kind of what daddy did.

personally im hoping for it. You could see Tyrion's warning.

I totally agree from the perspective of her character arc. My point was it makes no sense from the perspective of Jon's character.

She keeps wanting to burn everyone, and she clearly enjoys it when she gets the chance to.

she set that one guy on fire for killing that harpy, didnt seem that cool. also she set kraznys on fire after going back on her deal with him, when she was clearly not in danger.

seems obvious the show is setting up Jon and Dany to be the heroes

which maybe makes it not obvious...
