hmm... possibly. It was one of the headlines on Google News today. I didn't click on it. The link is 20h old (meaning yesterday) and leads to a site I have never heard of.

Yep that's the one "It's the mother of all plot twists!"?
04-02-2017 , 10:13 AM
It is.

First April Fool's day joke thats actually worked on me in quite some time.

probably because it wasnt the first anymore >.<

Friend has seen zero GoT, what's the optimal way to catch up that doesn't require watching every episode? Bearing in mind I'm going to be joining in the re-watching. Thinking season 1 through 5 recaps, then watching season 6? Or would 1-4 and 5 & 6 be better?

start from s1e1 and watch every episode is the only way ainec

if i was a mod, i'd ban you for even suggesting otherwise

If your friend doesn't want to watch the whole thing after seeing the first few episodes, it probably isn't for them anyway.
04-14-2017 , 03:07 PM
lol can you imagine just skipping past ned stark's beheading, the red wedding, tywin's death, oberyn's death, everything with the hound, etc? what a ****ing ******ed suggestion
04-14-2017 , 03:17 PM
Just watch the Sam/Gilly bits and the sandsnake/Dorne stuff, the rest isn't that important

I mean you're preaching to the choir, but 60 hours of TV in 3 months isn't a super workable idea in my mind especially with both of us working/traveling.
04-14-2017 , 04:02 PM
If my math is correct that's only 20 hours a month. Seems pretty easy to binge watch that amount.

Actually somewhat helpful answer: I'm guessing you could trim 15 to 20 hours. Read the synopsis of each episode and you can just tell your friend "were skipping episode 6 because everyone just walks around for an hour" or you can skip a good portion of some episodes too.

If he doesn't have time to watch it over 3 months, then don't watch it over 3 months. It makes no sense to miss parts out. He can always catch up on this season at a later date
04-14-2017 , 04:08 PM
Actually he needs to read all the books before he even thinks about watching the new season
04-14-2017 , 04:14 PM
Also needs to read all the 2+2 threads

If I had to watch it again I'm pretty sure I would go on tilt at the amount of time it takes the dragons and white walkers to do anything.
04-26-2017 , 05:29 PM
naw, best show to rewatch ainec
04-27-2017 , 08:21 AM
Working my way through the books for first time is a nice way to pass time before new series. Currently halfway through book 2.

Also makes me an illegal sinful presence in this thread!

I'm doing the same thing, the books are very big though and finishing them before the new season starts will be a bit of a struggle
04-27-2017 , 10:34 AM
I can't believe you both jut did that. Show is ruined for me now I know you are bookreaders, may as well not bother with the new season.

I'm audiobooking the books. Nearly done with ACOK. Listening to a half hour or so of them in bed with eyes closed is a good way to end the day.
