Awesome - just finished season 4, and caught up with this thread, starting with Mountain face smash episode. So brutal I had to see everyone else's reactions again.

Everything is heading east - tyrion, Varys, dany, all set to come rampaging back, not without incident though Im sure.

Im pretty sure Varys is one of the true "good" characters in the show. Its the reversal - sleezy, bald, eunuch, evil looking foreigner, actually one of the most moral guys. He helps Tyrion because he think he can get away with it.

He jumps onto the ship because he's realised a) hes ****ed up and b) with Tywin dead and cercei in charge, its about to turn into one huge cluster-****.

I'm envious of you, although to be fair I'd say the first few re-watches almost feel like watching it for the first time. You notice how much stuff you missed and/or didn't understand.

So... Is Roberts son from the whore essentially out of the story? Are we to assume he died in his boat? Was his only purpose to provide blood for Stannis? Do we expect he will resurface later?

No chance Gendry died on the boat imo...think we will def be hearing more from him. It would be strange to have him escape Melisandre and Stannis only to die offscreen in a dingy.

I'm assuming he is coming back at some point

Re watching all the scenes where various earnest people name their swords, keeping this scene in mind is amazing.

I'm not clicking on something which labels a picture of an underage girl "NSFW" seems creepy.

On rewatching, Varys is the one character I really can't figure out. There's his interactions with Tyrion and Ned which suggest he's a good guy, but then you get the scene in the crypts early where he's conspiring with that other guy to cause a war, and then the scene in series 4 where oberyn asks him what he wants and he looks at the throne.

That last scene I can't figure out, why would he reveal that to oberyn of all people? Just doesn't make any sense.

Also, been watching interviews with the cast.

The actresses for sanza and Arya shouldn't open their mouths in interviews. It's not that they are really bad or stupid, but it's clear they just aren't very interesting and don't have anything original to say so they are kind of annoying in contrast to the adult actors.

I watched with the sound down. Did she curse? Cause otherwise I don't see why it was nsfw?
