I originally posted this in one of Sonic's package threads; I've since moved this and the two replies below into this new thread.

Looking for feedback as to whether Sonic should have Marketplace Approval removed, or if a second chance is warranted. Either way, this thread would remain so that people can make their own decision whether to invest in the future.

It is true that I had an issue back in 2014.

I misused a small amount of funds on games i shouldn't have and couldn't continue with the pack because of lack of funds.. I immediately contacted the people concerned and told them. I had serious health issues at the time and as a result I was out of contact for a lengthy period or time getting myself sorted. Once back and able to get on with things again, I sorted out the issue straight away with the people concerned but, this was after a lengthy time had passed (aprox. 10mths)

I make no excuses for what happened. I made a mistake and take full responsibilty for that mistake.

In the time I've been a member here on 2+2 - I have had 0 issues in regards to funds and transfers etc... I have done numerous transfers in the transfer thread and have been sending funds to people daily in the MP - through the packs i've been running. This past week I have sent somewhere in the region of $1.4k alone to people. I hope this will be taken into consideration when people are judging me.

If it is decided to ban me from the MP or 2+2 because of my past mistake then I will accept that.

sonic has been efficient with sending back funds and his rail is probably the most informed/structured in the MP.

Given that Sonic had daily packs with releatively low buy-ins for a while with some profit for investors, I can't see any issues arising with this player.

I'd happily invest again.

I think it is good that it is out there as it took almost a year to be paid back a small amount. Seems fine for him to have marketplace approval if his investors know about the issue and are comfortable with investing.

I would still stake them after knowing this, if it were unsettled then that would be another matter but they made a mistake 3 years ago and eventually rectified it and have been staked plenty without issue since.

I'd say this lines up with my thinking, but I still welcome opinions to the contrary. Will likely tell him to go ahead with packs again in the meantime.

I actually told him he could continue with the packs he already had going, but to his credit, he thought it best if he cancel everything until this was cleared up.

This guy appears to be at it again.

A number of us have invested in a couple of packs which he hasn't played or communicated with the community. No response to PM's or Skype.

He may have a plausable reason/excuse but for me, after what has happened previously I would expect him to bend over backwards to communicate. He hasn't, which leads me to believe he has scammed yet again.

I'm pretty annoyed that I even vouched for him when his past got dug up. Regardless of what's happened I won't be investing again.

Sad to hear about this and hope it isn't the same thing that happened in 2014-15 during the SCOOP.

It's a shame but seems like it's certainly heading that way.

Still no contact made by the guy so we can safely assume a repeat of 2014/2105 is in progress.

He hasn't logged in here for 11 days, so hopefully something's come up "IRL" that's serious enough to keep him off the site, but doesn't mean anything really bad (like someone seriously ill or dying).

Hopefully, he pays back like he did a few years ago. I was really hoping he turned a new leaf like he said.
