Hi,guys!I have been scammed for the first time and I need you suggestions what to to.Here is the situation:
I have a thread in the martketplace,in which I want to be staked.

This person-HelioCastTCG(thats his nickname here)contacted me and told me I was good enough so that he can stake me.This was in the begining of January.I liked the offer,which he offered me on Skype and agreed to be staked.However,he insisted that I should send him 10$ so that I cannot run with the money or w/e and I did it.Since I told him that I could play after the 10th of February,I stopped writing to him and vice/verca.However,he told me to send him another 300$ so that he can play on Stars.I told him that his partner(who was playing 100$ by his own words)can get it for him but he insisted that I should be the person who will send him the money.He also said that is is eiter taht he would play with his own money or stake me so I have to send him something-it was my only chance to get staked.I didnt have it,so I send him 70$.He told me that he would send me twice the sum I send him in a week.The week passed and I wrote to him what was going on and he told me that he can send the money on the 10th of February.After this conversation,I decided that I would not want to be part of his stake and wanted my money back.However,he told me I would have it back on the 10th of February.I waited for about 20 days and contacted him.He said the money was on 888 and he couldnt withdraw it because he was in a process of verification so I have to wait 2-3 days max.I waited and he said he had send the wrong documents and I had to wait more.For a week and a little bit more I am waiting for his ''verification'' to end so that he can send me my money by skrill(I cannot receive nor send on any poker site-regulations in my country).The whole things is goind on for a month.
Any suggestions what should I do?I can show Skype conversations if necessary.
P.S.Please dont pust stuipid posts like u r retarted,why did u send him the money,etc.This is a serious matter for me.Thanks!

Or is this guy just mentally challenged?

your thread says you were to be staked but the guy wanted money from you to play? That should be a red flag. especially when he asked you to keep sending (if thats true)
Just think about that for a second. I am not even sure why you did.

It really does seem either A) you left out important details B) you clearly misunderstood or your language barrier hindered you C) Both A and B or D) maybe you are just Naive/slow and actually did get scammed

Since English isn't your first language, you should post skype logs.


Also as a friendly note, when you have to keep bumping your own staking thread, that's not a good sign. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results,

Of course it raised a red flag to me when he wanted to send him money for second time,that is why I send him 70$ not 300$.That is why I didnt want to be part of his'stake'.Yeah I was a bit naive when I send him that money.Being staked is my goal and that is why I bumped the thread many times and send him the money.I didnt left any important details neither have I misunderstood because of the language barrier.If I hadnt send him the money I wouldnt have a chance to be staked by him and I didnt want to miss that chance.

Why did you constantly bump your thread throughout January if you (thought you) had this deal from February 10th and couldn't play before that anyway?

I believed him for like a week and then I realized it was a scam.Then I started bumping my thread again.Dunno why you discuss me though-I put all the facts on table,what do you want more?I just need an advice because it has happened to me for the first time-I have never had problems here on 2+2 and other Bulgaria forums sending/receiving money.

As post #2 already says - there is some slight chance that this is a fundamental misunderstanding ("He also said that is is eiter taht he would play with his own money or stake me" doesn't make any sense whatsoever and sounds more like *he* wanted to get staked). But that's impossible to tell without seeing Skype logs.

Overall, there is a 99.9% chance that you were simply scammed in a ridiculous way, and in that case there is not much advice to offer other than 1) posting a warning here about that person (which you already did) and 2) absolutely avoid any transactions with strangers in the future.

U want to get staked and have to send to your potential backer is an obv scam.

and to bump your thread almost everyday, u have to recognize that it seems like no one is really interested into it, and maybe u try to improve and play more to make it interesting for potential backers.

Idk which is sadder a scammer contacts people looking for stake and asks for $10 or the person needing a stake sends it. Truly lol.

I opened this thread so that people can be warned and to get some advice.Hope he have some self respect and return the money although I doubt it.

The problem with talking to people who have English as a second language they generally think when people ask questions or post a comment that doesn't agree with their opinion they think it's attacking them.

I am just laying out my opinion, your story has lots of holes and really just seems hard to believe because it is actually true it is just sad really thats why.

As far as getting your money back you can keep asking him, msging him on here on skype but you can't do much more than that... kind of hard to.

The guys name is Tyrone **** (London, UK). There are numerous posts detailing how he has scammed investors in the negative feedback thread, all you would of had to do was search his name and/or screename. Also seems to have been banned from various other staking sites

How much are you out of total from this? $80, is that correct (2 separate transfers, $10+$70?) Surely someone here can transfer you 80 in goodwill if it means so much to you. What site are you on? And thanks for outing the scammer, in the future definitely don't send money to strangers who say they are going to stake you but then need a $10 transfer lol. Lesson learned

Update:I wrote to him several time since I last posted in this thread and he still hasnt answered.Any ideas what to do next?

Consider it a relatively cheap lesson to never be so incredibly, ridiculously gullible in the future. If it doesn't cause you too much stress and/or trouble to continue pursuing him, go ahead, but if it's causing you aggravation then it might be +EV to just move on. Or of course if you want to make his life miserable on principle that's always an option as well, but it doesn't sound like you have the knowledge/resources to make that happen.

Yeah,you are right Bobo.I should move on.And yeah,it was a lesson I learned the hard way but,still,a valuable one.

Update:I have tried to contat him but he hasnt messaged me since March-any suggestions what to do?I have written him at least 5 times since then but have got no answer.Some of you suggested to let it go but still-what are my options here in your opinion?

Lol at posting that following your last post. I suggest you don't play poker and concentrate on educating yourself. You seem to be either naive or very slow. His intention was to steal money from you, you sent him the money, he has stolen your money... There is no what now?

Dude its for 1/3 of the minimal salary where I live.Also,please dont write in my or other topics if you dont have anything to say.
Besides,its not all about the money-its a theft.Yes,a theft in which the victim gave his money with a promise to be staked and that the money would be returned in a month,but still-its super unfair.Hope this works out well,though.
