Gonna disagree here. He sent a tweet to investors saying he busted the Main and didn't say anything until he was outted a week later. If the WSOP doesn't publish registration lists, he gets off again like he got off the last time, and the time before that.

Anyway I agree with you, his use of the word literally is extremely tilting and a freudian interpretation suggests that he sub-conciously is trying to communicate to us that behind the mask he is in fact ******ed.

Coincidence, gullibility of those guys, or a matter of the two sheisters using their con techniques to get their "brand" of kool-aid onto a free marketing platform? Heck, Nick eventually eventrually got his own show on Pokerstatic...what was it called...and I actually rather like it (before all this, obv.)..

Eric and Bret pretty much "ooh and ahh" at all of their guests. They're just being polite and establishing a friendly dynamic with the interviewee. And they have good reason to, the people they interview are some of the most successful names in online poker.

On that note, why has no one gone to the police with this? Unlike many of these types of scams, in this case it is well-known who the person is IRL, he's an American citizen, the activity involved (the WSOP, unlike online poker) is indisputably legal, and he has admitted to the most important facts involved (that he solicited stakes and did not play the event). This seems like a very open-and-shut case of fraud.

I don't believe he started the stake thread with the intention of just taking the money and leaving, my best guess as to what happened is this:

Received stake money
Intended to play ME
Played satellites/cash
Lost a good chunk
Tried chasing loses
Busto

After that he OBV tried to freeroll on the tweet by being very vague but at the same time never actually stating he busted.
