Hey!

We, the players with an EU account want to be able to play the alpha version aswell! Or at least give us the mercury theme for our tables.

Come one, really.

Why don't you just create an XTheme?

here is an example (close PokerStars first)

In your PokerStars folder, create a folder named "XThemes"

Inside of it create a text file named "xthemes.ini", with the following text

Code:
[My Theme@MyThemes.folder]
name=My Theme
folder=MyThemes.folder/My Theme
base=nova@pokerstars.com
also inside the XThemes folder, create a folder named "MyThemes.folder"
inside of that, create a folder named "My Theme"

Store your "invisible felt" files inside.

Now open PokerStars and viola! Your new theme is at the bottom of the theme list.

We expect .EU to be the next client to be released with PS7. However I don't have a firm date for its release yet.

We released a new Build 8322 for PokerStars 7 on 17-July. Your copy should update automatically when you restart the client.

This update had over 50 minor bug fixes and UI enhancements, including several issues reported by players. Highlights of the changes:

Tournament Lobby:

- Clicking on a finished player in the list of a running tournament opens an empty table. It should not be clickable. (fixed)
(reported on the PS7 Alpha forum)

- Chip stack range should be 'largest to smalles' rather than 'highest to lowest'. (fixed)
(reported on the PS7 Alpha forum)

Quick Seat:

- Links to the T-Lobby from Featured tickets are not working. (fixed)
(reported on the PS7 Alpha forum)

Main Lobby:

- Players would like to customize individual Main Lobby sections to use either Filters or Tab-style controls. (new feature)
(Can be managed either through 'gear' icon in Main Lobby or Settings/Lobby/Lobby Display 'Main Lobby Controls')

Other notable changes:

- Tournament Lobby: In the Structure tab, 'players per table' has been added to Tournament Info.
- Tournament Lobby: Red Spade icon has been moved from Rank column to Player column (in Main Lobby sidecar, too).
- Tournament Lobby: When registering, the Knockout and Buy-In are now listed separately.
- Main Lobby / Online Events: Text labels that don't fit in their tabs are now truncated, and the full name is shown in a tooltip.
- Lobby Footer: Banner is centered if only one banner position is showing, and will not cycle if only one message is available.
- Information (i) icon behavior improved to show content on cursor hover in addition to click.
- Minor problems in UI at conclusion of Head's Up game have been cleaned up.
- Account App: A link to 'Registered-In Tournaments' has been added to left side of app.
- Account App: PS7 was not detecting changes in email validation state - fixed.
- Account App: More space given to display User ID at minimum lobby size.
- The 'Ignore Registration Complete Message' function now works for SNG tournaments.
- Mercury Table: Amount won from Progressive Knockouts now appears in Info tab.
- Mercury Table: Can use keyboard to select 'Sit Here' on right-click menu.
- Mercury Table: Clicking 'Register' from broadcast message at table now opens Registration dialog as well as T-Lobby.
- Various graphic alignment tweaks
- Improved mouse-wheel scrolling within content that has a scrollbar

On actually I meant a little more.
I mean tabs only in tournaments and Sit & go PS7 display format.
Some intermediate option. New filter cash games is good.

Thanks - this new feature has been added in build 8322.

To use it from the Main Lobby, look for the 'gear' icon in the filters area near the Filter Kill Switch. Click the icon and choose whether that section of Main Lobby will use Filter-style controls or Tab-style controls.

The gear icon only affects the top-level tab section you're on (either Cash Games, Zoom, Sit & Go or Tournaments - it's not available for Online Events or Live Events).

Alternatively, you can configure all 4 sections individually to use either filter-style or tab-style controls through the Settings app. Go to Settings / Lobby / Lobby Display, and look for the Main Lobby Controls option. If you select the global style to be PokerStars 7 (Filters), then within that you can set any one of the 4 sections (Cash Games, Zoom, Sit & Go, Tournaments) to use either filters or tabs, then click OK or Apply Changes.

Let us know if this gets you the flexibility you were looking for.

Apologies for not getting back re: technical issues btw, but I decided to abandon testing until availability of the .eu client.

I've added your request to the list of suggested improvements. Thank you for your example as well.

At 6 max tables on mercury theme, sometimes when the top middle player makes a bet/raise the chips go too high and cover his chip stack.

This issue exists on other themes as well, such as Nova. You can always place your mouse over the other player to see their current chip stack. There's only so much room on the table and in large field tournaments the chips can indeed grow to a large image. I think we'd need to break from attempting to represent the chips accurately on the table in order to solve this issue.

Hey Douglas, could you please tell us the expected release date on the Mac platform for the software?

This would be better. The graphics should never cover up important information. Sometimes the popup doesn't work when playing on other sites or with software that takes the focus.

At this point it's too early to give an expected date. Last I heard, we're looking at October at the earliest.

Stars software already supports the [feature] onechip - where bets are represented by a single chip (originally developed for mini-tables beta)

You just need to create a method for users to activate it

Hello,

I have a problem

I am from Romania and I'd like to download Stars 7 to play on it and to test it. However, I can't. As far as I read on 2p2, I need to get it from the pokerstars.com site. However, no matter what I do, I am being redirected to the pokerstars.ro site, so I cannot download Stars 7 software.

Help!

Do you have an account on PokerStars.COM or .EU? If it's .EU, you'll have to wait about a week or so. We expect to have PokerStars 7 Beta available on .EU late next week.

If you play on .COM, then here is the download link for the separate Beta:

http://dev1.testpokerstars.com/exchange/PS_COM_BETA.exe

Just after PS7 Beta comes out on .EU, a new update will appear on .COM with the full Beta that sits on top of PS6 (so it won't be a separate install, and you'll be able to upgrade to PS7 through PS6, and revert back to PS6 from PS7 - and the .EU release will function the same way).

Main Lobby:

- When using individual Tab-style controls for Tournament filters, the text filter doesn't work. (fixed)

So can we open new accounts or possibly implement a sn change since it's a different client?

A one time name change but the notes players have on you will still carry on or even have us pay a ridiculous amount of fpp?

Just a suggestion...

This policy is just too brutal for some...

I know it was to make it fair for all players but they're many players stuck with undesirable sn's as a result.

Ps was one of the 1st online poker sites. People were just clueless about poker at the time, so did not plan a good sn ahead of time.

I think this will only improve PS traffic since they're many out there with an undesirable sn, superstitious or w/e the reason & prefer a better name.

Hi,

Is it possible for you to change the number of orbits a player on mobile or tablet has to sit out before they're removed from a ring game? Because in my experience players often close the app instead of leaving and end up leaving the table short handed for extended periods of time?

Not sure what there is you can do about this but an annoying thing that happens quite often so just thought I'd throw it out there.

We do not have any plans at this stage to allow screen name changes as part of PokerStars 7 at this time. However, we have improved the account creation process in PS7 however to make sure that players are aware that the screen name they're choosing will be displayed at the table (something that was harder to realize in PS6). I realize that's not helpful to older accounts, but until we adjust our company policy on screen name changes we felt we should do more to help the new players not have the same experience.

Thanks for reporting this. I'm forwarding this to the mobile team for them to review.

We released a new Build 8400 for PokerStars 7 on 30-July. Your copy should update automatically when you restart the client.

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...3&postcount=12

Tournament Lobby:

- Include 'Places Paid' and 'Next Payout' in the Tables tab. (fixed)
(reported on the PS7 Alpha forum)
