Would anybody else shove here?
I was on the button, blinds were 600/1200 and it was folded to me. I had 10,000 in chips and we were exactly on the bubble, I had A7 of clubs, should this be a clear fold, I obviously ran into a monster and felt like a tard afterwards, there were 3 shorter stacks then mine.

How many left in the tournament? What were the SB and BB stacks? How is your stack compared to the average stack?

Re: Would anybody else shove here?
Its a turbo mostly everyone is between 15-25bbs with a couple big stacks. There was 16 left, both blinds had me covered. One double up and i would be with the rest of the crowd.

im sorry, but you have around 8-9bbs, im shoving very wide from button unless i have reads on sb/bb, but even with reads im still shoving a7 clubs even if were at the bubble.

this isn't a STT
he's on the button
unless all 3 of the smaller stacks can't survive the blinds, it's a shove.

Re: Would anybody else shove here?
You have to post the hand history for us to give you an adequate answer. We need to know the ante. We need to know how many people are at our table. There are 16 left. Is it broken up into 5/5/6 on 3 tables? or 2 tables of 8? (not familiar how they separate them online) We also need to know if this is an MTT or a 90 man, or a SNG.. The payout structure can have an effect, but until I get to the final table, I play solely for +cEV (chip expected value. If the play is profitable, I will make the play. No matter how thin the edge, especially in a turbo like this.. or I think it's a turbo since everyone has 15-25 bb..
Assuming this is just an MTT:
I'm shoving ATC in this spot. We are playing to double our chips, not to double our money on the BTN. You should be finding the most +cEV spots possible. It's +EV to shove ATC here. ESPECIALLY on the bubble.
I just used ICMIZER. This is a profitable shove with ANY TWO CARDS if the SB and BB's calling ranges equal (66+,A9s+,ATo+,KQs). I think this is a reasonable calling range on the bubble of a turbo event. Even if you shove 72o, you are expected to win 0.9415 bb (That's 1,129.8 chips.) That's a HUGE edge. You should ALWAYS take this spot.. On average, you increase your stack by 11.91%.. That's epic. If you shove and they fold, you get 2,520 chips. (Assuming it's a 6max table with a 10% ante). That increases your stack by 25.2%.. You are only getting called 18.1% of the time. That means you increase your stack by 2,520 chips 81.90% of the time.. The difference between 72o and A7s here is not that big. You are expected to win 0.942 bb/hand with 72o. With A7s, you are expected to win 1.382 bb/hand. It's a big distance over the long run, but the difference between those two hands is winning 44% of a BB.. So you should 100% be shoving ATC here. I believe if the SB/BB ranges are wider, you should tighten up slightly.

Re: Would anybody else shove here?
I generally only play smaller stake tournaments, but people calling button allins seems is wider then what your saying like a5s+a8off+k10s+kjoff+ with 15 bbs or less, but on the bubble you could be correct these opponents in the blinds I haven't played with much. It was 2 tables of 8.

Re: Would anybody else shove here?
Were there any limps in front of you? If so then no, otherwise get the chips in the middle.

Re: Would anybody else shove here?
Even with limps, (depending on how big their stack is), I would jam over it. There is some awful play around the bubble, but there's awful play everywhere. Honestly, you should never underestimate the stupidity of recreational (or professional) poker players.
I just used your range of A5s+,A8o+,KTs+,KJo+, and added 66+ since you didn't specify any pairs. It's +cEV to shove 72o here. The SB/BB both have you covered and a 15% calling range. Every time you shove 72o, you expect to win 1 SB. With this calling range, you are expected to win 1.28 bb/hand when you shove A7s. Easy, SNAP shove..
You should not worry about the result of the hand. It's called being results oriented. You should just worry about making the correct play. In the long run, you'll make more money. Results oriented players whine about being dealt JJ. They would prefer to be dealt 72o than JJ. Please don't be like these people. It will help you in the long run.
