Bovada $10 Superstack
Very Early Stages, Blinds: 20/40
Preflop: UTG (5,000) opens 2x; UTG1/MP1/MP2/HJ all call (all also around 5,000); HERO calls on button with AKs (also around 5k stack); Maniac in SB shoves 1500; BB/UTG/UTG1/MP1 all folds; MP2/HJ both flat (each leaving around 3500 behind); HERO?
*Maniac in small blind had pretty much made it obvious he want to instantly build a huge stack or bust right away. You can see that he already lost most of his stack and the table dynamic seemed to be revolving around him. We were only about 15-20 hands in.
*Forgot to jot down stats, but all vills seemed to be playing standardly LOP for early stages of a micro (aside from the notable SB exception).
Could use some advice on this hand, as I struggle conceptually with playing AK in the very early stages (when 100+ bb deep). On my first action, is this a spot to be 3betting and isolating IP? Would I be GII against any possible 4bet? After the maniac shoves and 2 vills flat, would you be more eager to GII at this point?
