Live £40 buy-in tournament. Blinds 300/600. 7 handed.

Villain: on a card rush, went from 12k to around 110k in the last 4 hands. Plays almost any 2.

Hand:
UTG (40k) Limps
UTG+1 (25k) Limps
MP (Villain) (110k) Raise 2600
SB (Hero) (40k) Raise to 7000 (AK)
BB (30k) folds
MP Calls

Flop (Pot 15800)
932
SB checks, MP checks.

Turn (Pot 15800)
10
SB checks, MP bets 2,000, SB calls 2,000.

River (19800)
6
SB checks, MP bets 7,000...

How could I play this better on any given street? What should my action be on the river?

I find myself in these type of spots a lot and need to improve in this area.

Spoiler:

SB tanks as this player could literally have any two, decides to fold in the end.
Villain shows KJo

Yeah I agree with you on bigger pre and I should be cbetting this flop.

On the turn though (especially if he calls a cbet) he could have a lot of Ax of clubs type hands as we don't block many of these except AK. So if that makes up some of his range I could be jamming my stack completely dead?

I'd be doing this - granted I'm a big fan of running a good old fashioned punt bluff but still. We're gonna have a lot of value with this line and board runout, this is a good hand to bluff with and a good board to do so.

Edit: I think pre sizing is fine though. We could go bigger but it's fine AP imo

Depends on V, but most likely he will 3! a cbet with AX and look to get it in vs any over pairs you might have.

As played I think your cards are face up after the flop.

if he is playing as loose as you described in the op, he can def have tons of other hands that he will either fold to a jam or call with AxKc still drawing live. sometimes you run into the nuts but its going to happen less frequently than him having any other holding hand combo wise. we have a great barreling hand here given that we do have a big club in our hand so id def go for it given stacks and the described villain.

if thats the case you should rethink your cbetting strategy in those spots. hero could easily check stuff like AcAx,KcKx, KcQc, AcXc etc. or some 9x hand that he decided to 3b bluff with pre.
if you are always "face up" as having a weak hand when you check this flop after 3betting thats a fairly big leak.

Bet flop, bet turn, bet river. You are playing extremely passive and it is loosing you a lot of value.

Thought you had ace of clubs also. Disregard this, although I am still betting flop and turn.
