Really weird line by V and felt this bomb on the river was massively polarizing.

Lets start with a 3b pre and cbet otf. Calling versus a single agro open in the worst position with a dominated ace blocker is the nut worst option pre. I recommend working on your 3b game.

this.

as played, I would fold. psb otr seems more like a v-bet trying to look like a bluff than an actual bluff. reason is since V reps Ax well he shouldn't need to bet more than 1/2 pot or w/e to get you to fold your weak sdv, so I think his bluffs size smaller bc smaller sizing accomplishes the same thing, if that makes sense.

Sorry if this is a terrible question, but why is flatting this bet so terrible? Is folding > 3b?

because

a) when we flat hands in the SB we are likely going to go to the flop strictly oop vs. two players (BB flats a lot)

b) A2 is dominated by all the Ax in V's range and thus is susceptible to very high reverse implied odds.

Whether folding is better than 3b is totally V-dependent and dynamic-dependent. In general, A2s is almost always a fold preflop from the SB.

Fold or 3b pre.

As played, lead the turn.

River.... Don't know.

Villain's line doesn't look weird for AJ, < 2 spades.

Fold Pre.

As played, fold flop.

As played, lead turn , or c/c

As played, river depends on reads. Could he be bluffing 1/3 of the time? Coud he think he's ahead w/o an A?
