I wanted to talk about this line I keep using and I'm pretty much certain it's wrong what I'm doing I've got a recent example
8 handed online tourney
I'm killing it in chips got the table covered
Effective stacks 30bbs
Utg opens 2x
I call btn with 7♣️6♣️
Bb also calls
Flop a♣️8♣️4♦️
Bb checks OR checks I bet half pot bb calls OR folds
Turn Q♦️
Bb checks , I check ( this is my problem I'm not sure if this check is right
River Q♥️
Bb checks I bet he snap calls with k8
Is this line ok on other runouts ? Looking back I'm repping Hardly anything and I'm quite annoyed at myself it's just a **** bet
You said it yourself, you're not really repping anything so you're going to get looked up. If you bet the turn you can rep an Ace or Queen, but when you check the turn it looks like you don't have an Ace. Then the river pairs the Q so he has less reason to fear a Q too. You would have 3b pre with JJ and maybe TT too, so on the river his 8 is looking pretty good.
It's weird because when I'm thinking about it to type here I sort of realise because I'm being forced to put it into writing but when I'm actually playing it's a different story ,
Would you say the best line to take is to triple barrel?
It's either a triple barrel or check back river. As Darth said you're not repping much when you check turn and bet river and a ton of hands will look you up on that run out.
Why not check back the flop here ?
Betting if you completely miss , but here avoiding getting check raised off your hand.
IF you bet the flop and get called , should you not check turn, then check river also ?

I don't agree that you rep nothing. Qx plays the exact same way and that's your story. The problem is that Qx is heavily blocked by QQ on board and an A blocking AQ. If the river is a blank and he checks, your bet would work a lot more because now you can bet a Q for value and could have some weak A that checked turn and are going for value on river. On a Q river I would also call you with any pair on BB shoes because you would be betting only Qx for value and there are enough missed draws for you to bluff river and make a call getting 3 to 1 profitable.
