I was in the small blind everyone folds cutoff limps button raises 3x (this was a while ago cant remeber exact blind levels lets just say 500/1000 for arguments sake),
this player had been raising a lot of buttons especially with limpers in the pot I had 17 BB and decided to shove with A3 off vilan had about 35 BB, is this a reasonable play againt an agressive opponent on the button.
Yeah there were antes by this stage it was fairly deep in a $5 1 rebuy one add on tournament on stars I just forget the exact blind level and antes sorry but i know i had 17BB i was thinking bout this hand randomly and i wasnt a member of this fine forum when i played it.
Had been at the same table with the villan for while thought he was raising way to may buttons, just picked the spot he had AA btw and I binked a flush hahaha but dont want to be results oriented obviously
I like Jamming. You block W/ the A and your reads are that he's raising too many buttons. You also mentioned you ran into AA. That's a dream scenario for him but obviously didn't work out.
How it sounds like he was playing is how you win tournaments when you run good. He didn't
I jam sometimes in this situation, but your post is kinda vague.
I don't see a lot of villain's isolating weaker hands with 35bb. (35bb is usually in mid/late game. In early game, I see a lot of isolating with hands like pairs and broadways.)
If the villain had been isolating even at this stack size really wide, then I'd jam. I wouldn't jam too often online though because I don't see this occurring too often. (wide isolating range with 35bb)
