Fold he has QQ+ and if he doesn't there'll be plenty of chances to take his money later

Fold pre - you're going to keep getting into spots like this when you open with hands that are easily dominated from EP.

Calling 3Bet is OK with the pot odds we're getting.

I really don't like this flop lead - this basically turns your hand face up as some sort of marginal hand that doesn't want to see any more cards.

You now have to fold to the shove - he has all the value hands in his range e.g KQs, AK, AA, KK, QQ

I agree on the pre fold. I was frustrated with a long dry spell of cards and was definitely opening wider than I should have been. Other than hitting a full house with 8-3 when in the BB, my entire stack was built off steals and one big river bluff. I was in a "make something happen" mentality and instantly knew my mistake after the shove. (I folded)

How would you have played the flop? X/c?

It's totally fine to open pre, KJs flops and plays postflop good enough.I can't see any reasonable explanation for that flop lead tbh, x/c and evaluate on turn.If heart or ten giving you flush draw/OESD doesn't come on the turn you can easily fold to his 2nd barrel.
