Hi guys I played an interesting hand at a $20 $10K guaranteed MTT and would like some feedback on the way I approached the hand.

Hero(BTN) $14220 - VP:67 PFR:33 AF:Inf. W:67|50 STL:|100 3B:0| CB: N:-1600 Hands:6

Villain(BB) $9940 - VP:50 PFR:0 AF:1.0 W:100|100 STL: 3B:0| CB: N:11740 Hands:2

Villain1(MP) $41660 - VP:17 PFR:17 AF: W:0| STL:0| 3B:0| CB: N:-1560 Hands:6

Pre Flop: Hero(BTN) with Q J

Blinds: 300/600 with 60 ante

Villain1(MP) raises 1200 Hero(BTN) calls 1200, Villain(BB) calls 600

Flop: 8 5 Q (3 players) $4380 in pot

Villain(BB) bets 2190, Villain1(MP) folds, Hero(BTN) ???

In this spot would you just shove the flop or call then fold to a turn shove or would you just wait for a better spot to stack off?? You would think that Villain would just shove with any decent hand given his awkward stack size ( about 15BB).

I just started playing tourneys so I appreciate your feedback guys!

I'd probably just call and let him gii on the turn since you're in position and his stack size is pretty perfect. He isn't small enough that he couldn't fold to your flop raise all in though. Let him continue with his whole range on the turn.

Hmm, the BB is donk leading into 2 opponents both having him covered, alarm bells should be ringing off. It's highly unlikely he's betting more than 25% of his stack as a bluff, possible but unlikely. He could have a worse queen or pair below that, but why wouldn't he just shove to pick the pot up right there and not risk you or the other guy getting there when he's so short. So I think given all that you could definitely find a fold right here, but calling now and folding to a turn is wrong. You either go all in now, or you call him down all the way. Main reason is hell have less than a half pot sized bet behind on the turn, which makes it completely incorrect to justify folding TPGK.

Not a big fan of flatting pre. Can't fold now.

There are no alarm bells AT ALL here. If he had a monster a check is usually coming. U are not folding here. A fold is terrible. This seems very drawy to me. Shove it brah

Depends on villain. 3! or fold are both viable options. Calling is only good if you have reads that villain is doing something you can easily exploit. Or maybe I am just a nit
