Too Tight Turn Fold? (<img R&A 6max) Too Tight Turn Fold? (<img R&A 6max)

Any advice on this would be helpful,

Just crossed over the bubble,

$1,400/$2,800 Blinds
$350 ante

Hero: ( $64,759 )
BTN: ( $55,443 )
SB: ( $56,117 )
BB: ( $18,455 )
UTG: ( $62,582 )
MP: ( $83,765 )

UTG and MP fold, Hero (JT) Raises 2bb. BTN Calls. SB and BB fold.

Flop (Pot: $15,400): AJA

Hero bets ($7100), BTN Calls.

Turn: T

Hero checks, BTN bets $15,850
Hero folds.

Bad turn card but is this too tight a fold straight away?

In retrospective I think a check/call on the flop may have been better? Then check fold the turn if villain continues. Thoughts?

Thanks,

X/c flop might be better but the bet size on the flop is too big - you can go 20-30% pot and get calls from a wider range of hands and cost yourself less when you have to give up.

Agree with that. Think a bet around that size would achieve the same result as my larger bet, and still price out the draws.

As played however, do you agree with my turn fold?

Yeah - basically every broadway combo now beats you as well as random Club draws he may have had.

The other problem with calling here is that there's one more street of betting to go and you might be drawing dead.
