How did you improve your game? (some specific/detailed info)
Do you analyze the tourneys you participate, try to find leaks and anticipate on that?
Do you have "standard" openraise ranges (based on stacksize), shove ranges, 3-bet ranges, squeeze ranges ?
I play a lot of smallstakesMTT's ($3.30/$5.50/$11) and I'm 20% ITM, 3% finalTables and 1% wins out of 150..are these stats considered ok, good, average,bad??
I know this is what I want to do for a living and want to improve my game..would you mail me your handhistory of that first tourney you reached the final table (or any tourney with a final table result)?? well..I though I give it a try and it starts with asking

1. of course they are, i think guarantees def invite a lot of more players and most of them aren't good.

2. just try to play as good as possible all the time, don't get frustrated by bad beats or anything.

3. hmm, i don't think there were any specific moments or something tbh, i just tried to play all the time and somehow was better then the others, eventho i was pretty bad at first. but i somehow managed to still be profitable. probably without knowing many concepts.

1. by playing. it really helps a lot just to play all the time. i didn't really read any book or a lot of strategy forums at first. they helped me improve, but i just played all the time.

2. i always try to make notes while im playing and it generally helps me a lot to have a pretty good feel how to play vs other players. its obv important to keep being focused on the table to take those notes.

3. i mean, it depends obv. on the stacksizes of opponents, how they view you and all that stuff. i normally prefer to make it a little bigger w/o antes pre tho.

4. i think having like 15% ITM is fine, i don't think your ITM needs to be that high, the rest is more important for sure.

5. tbh i never save any HHs of Tournaments i played. The only one ever was the one where i won the Sunday500 and i can't find that anymore. I guess i was just never interested in going over them after i played.

Hey dude, pretty random and kinda winding question, but something I think about, would be really interested in your take.

What are your thoughts about ethics in poker? I mean, it's a super open ended question... like, maybe anything goes? Or angle shooters should gtfo, but all else is OK? Hollywooding is OK or no?

Or should we actually take it a step further and make a conscious effort to play "above the board," like let someone know when they're giving us a ridiculous edge that we frankly don't need (i.e. they're not protecting their hole cards live or something). Or even, in a live game where we can see the other players, perhaps we shouldn't play against someone who a) based on really obvious appearances, we're almost 100% certain they DON'T have money to lose / are betting with food + rent + family money and/or b) have a gambling problem combined with the fact they c) are obviously just an awful player donating money, and it's really barely even poker... it's almost like taking it away, and it's kinda sad, really.

Like, we see so many BBV posts and MTTc posts about people who get in fights in poker for ethical issues.

Playing not just fairly based on written rules, but even above board ethically, even beyond the expected norms, is something I actually do believe in, but obviously many don't. In TOP, Sklansky says something like he'd bust his own mom at the table because poker is only about money. He says to forget everything else (above board ethics are probably included).
