With your read this is fine. There only two possible overpairs he could have that you beat (77,88) - all other overpairs have us crushed, sets have us crushed, straights have us crushed, two pairs are well ahead, and pair/draw combos have the necessary equity as well. Unless you know he's the type to overvalue a TPTK type hand or 77/88, seems like a pretty trivial fold.

Against a lot of other villains at this buy in this is a snap shove, though, since they often think A6 is the nuts.
