spewy multiway squeeze? approaching FT mtt

Big $1.10, 18th of 24 remain went for multiway steal off short stack. Not sure if it's spewy given everyone has me covered. Had no notes on limp trapping vs any villains in hands and the initial limpers stats were 54/16 over 46 hands.

I continually find myself short stacked in late stages of tournaments and have started trying to make more plays like this but would like other opinions on this spot. If it is spewy what is the weakest hand you do this with?

I think it's a perfect time for a squeeze shove and with the perfect type of hand too. Others may disagree but I believe these plays are necessary when ss, especially when nearing money or ft bubble.
    Nice play!

I don't think it's an ideal spot for a few reasons:

    1) 3 limpers increases the chances someone will call

    2) The original limper has a massive stack and might call with a wide range to try and bust you

    3) The SB might call wide since he's down to 6.4bb, leaving you crippled if you lose.

Don't get me wrong I think it is important to look for spots to make moves, I just don't think this is a great spot.

not that bad imo, going to assume MP1 was limping a lot, I think this works alot when MP1 folds as we was the original limper and we have good fold equity against the other stacks, sucks that CO made a bad call, and blocked the 7, but not the worst play imo

yeah I sorta expect to get called a lot doing this but even if we get snapped by AK we're still at even chip EV. I would want a few more chips to do this early in the tourney but late stages I find fold equity goes way up

    1) While more people are in the pot, I think other then MP1, everyone else's range is capped at marginal hands when they limp behind off of 20BB stacks. I don't think too many players are trapping here at these stakes,

    2) Don't really think this is a consideration since there isn't a bounty, unless he limped a big hand to trap here I don't see why he would call any wider to bust hero when there is two players left behind to act,

    3) I don't think the SB can call wide with 3 limps and a squeeze, if anything this play makes the blinds fold better,

imo it was a good play, after MP1 folds I think the squeeze works alot, CO made a bad call and thats the micros.

    3) if I have SB stack I'd call wide. A lot of casual players don't think like that tho, especially this late in a tourney

How wide? What would your range look like in this spot

Same here. With a chance to get my tiny stack in with lots of dead money, I'd be calling with a very wide range in the SB.

not a fan of this play. your thought process sounds like you are squeezing "just to squeeze" you have plenty of chips left and can find a better spot in my opinion.

i would tighten my squeeze range to 10's or better. to chip up in tourneys u want to take spots when they present themselves and gamble then.

With MP1's range pretty capped, it seems like anything other than shoving here would be less than ideal. I like the play, for a few reasons. The key reason is most players at this stage are first time or infrequent deep-mtt runners, their limp-calling ranges will be way too narrow based on stack sizes. NH WP

I think in the micros you get called to often which is why you should squeeze something a little bit stronger. People limp with KQs and all sorts in these tourneys and they just can't fold. Wait for a better spot imo. You have enough to find a better spot.
