I wouldnt have opened limp, raise it up. As played I call massive overbet. At 2 dollar stakes this bet is usually an ace scared of the 3 hearts.

Re: Set vs. all in

Hero calls 5,399.00 and is all-in

Turn: (12598.00, 2 players) K

River: (12598.00, 2 players) 4

SB shows 5 7 (Flush, Ace High) (Pre 52%, Flop 66%, Turn 77%)
Hero shows 2 2 (Three of a Kind, Twos) (Pre 48%, Flop 34%, Turn 23%)
SB wins 12,598.00

I thought that he had an ace like you said, i didnt raise on the flop because i had recently lost half my stack and got pretty nitty after that. I've been getting these bad beats for a while and have just started to question some of my plays

I said 'usually' . Seriously you just ran into the 10% of the time he has a small flush

Should be noted he probably folds if you raise under the gun...

Re: Set vs. all in

If the table is tight then I like a raise to 450 pre and fold to a 3bet. If it's a loose table I'd fold pre.

As played fold to a raise on flop. You will be putting a large amount of your stack where you will only continue if you hit one of your miracle outs.

i'm raising 22 utg w/ a 31BB stack a lot of the time tbh

its good if you are trying to maintain an aggressive image

you will usually take it down on the flop with a cbet or if you are lucky just hit a 2

but any shorter and i wiould be considering folding and waiting for a good hand to 3bet with or a good spot to resteal

As played, snap-a-doodle-doo the over shove all day.
