fold pre. you can defend from BB

in this spot I like c/c flop and lead turn and river

Pre is fine that deep. I lead that board almost always. We rarely make a lot from mid pairs so I want to build that pot vs AA and random Kings

Re: QT flopping trips in 6 max

why is deep fine? as far as I know the deeper you are, the worse it is to be oop and the higher the rio with a marginal holding. in SB im very very tight. It's the worst seat at the table

Tried to trap him. He had AQ. My traps are out of the line anyway tonight.
One more thing : isn't it rare to have trips vs trips ? I mean we are six player, not a full table and he's got the last Q in his hand !

Re: QT flopping trips in 6 max

well when there is a pair on the flop and the pot is big usually your looking at trips over trips

Re: QT flopping trips in 6 max

You are right on this one. But I saw son many times players pushin' it AK on this type of flop, especially on the beginning of a tourney. In the case this hand had occurred later in the tourney I wouldn't have budge or at least be more more cautious.
My point is : I made a lot of chip by calling with such hands and getting a lot in the middle in the first hour ( or even the first two hours) of a tournament.
Still I take your piece of advice with gratefulness as it is probably the best move overall

Don't fold pre.
Really don't get your postflop line.
Why did you check turn after c/r flop?
River is bad

It;s because of OP's obviously terrible line which indicates our RIO will be too high here.

nothing to do with RO.

Re: QT flopping trips in 6 max

I fold OTT.

I know it's mandatory at times, but the river changes nothing. His line is strength as ours is as well, but I just consider when they lead the turn they got it, and not that the 7 changed much, it might of gave him the boat 77 is in his pre range.

Not too many bluffs in his range OTT.
