~142-man Ignition $7.70 Turbo SS

Blinds 50/100

Starting stack 5k, eff stacks 5k

UTG opens to 600
UTG+3 raises to 2000
Folds to us in SB with QQ.

No reads on UTG, he just sat, UTG+3 has played half of his first 14 hands and the only showdown we have seen is where he limped behind in UTG+1 with JTo.

hold on utg has just 6x and then be reraised?

What is utg 6x range here?

either shove or fold but i think utg is going to be pretty nutted here with a 6x raise.

That's why I felt so stuck. UTG+3 also goes for 3.3x the 6x open.

I would think UTG range should be AK, AKs, TT+. It could be nutted or maybe scared to play a flop with something like JJ? The $7.70 field can be pretty fishy. As I said because it is on Ignition and the tournament is early I have no reads and nothing to go on (no particularly interesting timing tells, stack info, typing, or anything at all).

I would think UTG+3 range would be a bit wider because they may think the 6x open is weird and could have something like AK+, AQs+, 88+, and some KQs, KJs, and maybe some lower suited aces.

If those ranges are correct, I have 38% equity and should push. Even if UTG+3 is also AKs, AK, TT+, I still have 35%. Although I imagine I only get called by QQ+ and AK (maybe AQ? ehh). Now if both players have an A in their hand, that helps my situation significantly unless one of them is AA.

I did push, I just still feel fairly stuck in this spot. If I do indeed have 35% equity, does that make a push correct? If my push does get called by one of them, by my math if I adjust their range to their calling range (QQ+, AKs, AKo) and the other one I keep the range the same for (TT+, AKs, AKo), then I'm at 32%.

I think it's hard to range because both the abnormal open and the putting in half your stack are not rational plays - You might just toss a coin - sometimes you will be good and other times not. Overall my experience of playing this kind of spot is that without reads that at least one is a maniac, is that we're not ahead enough to shove. In play I'd likely shove and regret it.

Fold, it's a flip at very best.

fold as you know flip is best case scenario, and you are too deep to risk that many BBs
