I call, the double pair'd board makes it pretty unlikely he has an A or an 8 and those are the only cards that beat you. Villain could easily have 22-77, 99,TT, JJ or busted Clubs/Hearts. All of which you beat.

I would rather cbet than call a turn bet. There is pretty much no turn card except a Q you can't to see here and this guy does not seem to give you > 1 street of value with worse. So you can as well save some time+ deny him equity to hit a set/K/runnerrunner or give him ideas to exploid your weakness.
Std turn. River looks like a fold but you can't be sure so it sucks. Cbetting this is better and easier to play.

def should bet flop here. Our opponents range becomes very polarized after that simple flop bet. By checking we never know where we are at in the hand

What everyone else said lol. Don't play scared just because an ace hit. CBetting makes your future decisions much easier.

Checking gives V a spot to double barrell bluff (hard to call on river) or value bet the **** out of you with an A.

The negative of checking is we give our opponent a good idea of the strength of our hand, allowing him to value bet us or bluff us on later streets). I guess he could have AJ ATs which is a very small part of his range(and with 2 aces on board less likely). We block AQ, AK 4 bets pre. I think he can still have a lot of middling pairs here that have no showdown value 77 and under and now decided to bluff. I guess I sigh call on river. It looks like we have some sort of showdown value hand, but I don't know if hes thinking about that or not.

but if i c bet this flop and the oponent calls, what i do on the turn, if it is a blank for example? Check i guess. With an ace or bluffing, the oponent will bet the river anyway, since we show weakness on the turn. So it is the same situation if you check the flop, i am still putting two bets if i call the river. I prefer the check on the flop because i am in showdown mode IMO, and the oponent don't have the chance to check raise me.
I disagree that a check here means reveals what we have. We still can have a weak ace or slowplaying a monster.

I like OP's line.
Most villains will bluff turn with a high frequency, but a riverbluff in this spot seems less likely.

Betting flop is fine also, but i think i mostly check since its really hard to get called by worse and i don't think our range is still uncapped either way.

Versus a perceptive opponent I think he will expect us to bet most of our big aces and air hands on A88 two club flop when we 3 bet pre. When we check it looks like something with showdown. I'm not saying this is a good enough reason to bet flop, just something to keep in mind. I like checking flop for a few reasons: We can induce bluffs, we don't get check raised, we get a free card and a chance to improve when behind, and its unlikely to get called by a worse hand or make a better hand fold.
