Re: QQ on the Final Table

I'd raise/gii and punch the computer when he has A2. He has a bunch of FD's, 8x hands and random air hands trying to show you whats up. He shouldn't have many hands he's peeling with that contain a 2 (Like A2 only, although fish do peel with there J2s from the BB every now and then). If we flat here we hate a bunch of turns because they either put us behind or kill our action vs worse hands. I'm pretty happy getting it in.

Flat Flop, and play the rest of the hand for pot control .

Re: QQ on the Final Table

I'm very rarely, if ever, flatting here. Even against an uber-nit.

Def raise/cl. Induce all ins from FD, plus lots of turns kill action if he's on 8x.
Fish love to put you on AK and he might even be c/r small pairs for protection in this spot.

If he has a 2 I just have to pay him off.

Re: QQ on the Final Table

On the AJ hand you described, did BB had a worse hand than his ?

Well, you raised and cbet a bit more that half. Nothing fancy here and his range is pretty wide. He can see you with AK-AQ-AJ yadayada.
88 is possible in his preflop call as is any low to mid pair or even A8-K8s.
I mean, his range is pretty wide, the rest is read dependant. Unless you feel he is able to trap with KK-AA I would raise him/shove.

What we know is that he is pretty TAG and is supposed to be quite scared if you 4bet. I'm always taking it slowly when a TAG called my minraise preflop instead of raising me. Now a minraise on the flop ? Meh, I dislike the spot but it's hard to lolfold here unless you can outplay all the other players around. Folding QQ readless here is atrocious I find.

Re: QQ on the Final Table

agree with the guy earlier about fixing your stats, played with you last night and watched you completely butcher a couple of hands

Re: QQ on the Final Table

Could you list examples? I would like to fix any leaks. I know my stats are partly skewed because I have experiment with limping a lot of speculative hands early.

Re: QQ on the Final Table

i don't remember the specifics, but basically you limped 55 from EP, flopped a set and only got 2 min bets of value out of it when we were like 100bbs deep in the tourney. when you flop a set, especially in a turbo tourney you should be looking to get the stacks in asap. Now I'm not saying to open shove 4500 into 210, but betting something like 125 into 210 would be better then 30 into 210 like you did
