Hi everyone,

so in the tournament is 40 ppl left with 24 paid places. The action was mainly push/fold. Not a lot of post flop play. Hand is as follows (sorry for no convertor, it doesnt work for some reason)

Prima, $10 Buy-in (2,000/4,000 blinds, 400 ante) No Limit Hold'em Tournament, 7 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

SB: 42,247 (10.6 bb)
BB: 96,383.76 (24.1 bb)
MP1: 159,792 (39.9 bb)
MP2: 8,615.16 (2.2 bb)
MP3: 94,258 (23.6 bb)
CO: 42,280 (10.6 bb)
Hero (BTN): 32,172.84 (8 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BTN with J Q
MP1 folds, MP2 raises to 8,215.16 and is all-in, 2 folds, Hero ???

The villain in this hand was waiting for premium hands and as you can see, he was willing to blind himself away to almost nothing.

What is the right play here, while I am on really short stack.

Thanks for every response

Would you jam this if it was folded around to you?

Yea, absolutely.

I´m just thinking, is it ever okay to fold here if we know, that the opponent is waiting for premiums hands only?

Not sure what hand this guy is waiting for with 2bb but lets say below is as wide as he would shove

33+,A2s+,A5o+,KTs+,KQo

then you can call off with all this

(24.3%) 22+,A4s+,A8o+,K9s+,KTo+,Q8s+,QTo+,J8s+,JTo,T8s+,98 s,87s

he should be much wider Id hope

I ignore the 2bb stack as its pointless and would carry on with the idea that if folded to me then i shove.

Shoving seems reasonable.
