Personally, I'm probably only calling AA-KK here, and I think the ICM would agree. However, one friend said he would call AA-99 + AK, and the other AA-JJ.

Thoughts?

Thank you for your time.
Why does the ICM dictate folding a hand that is such a huge favourite? Blind level would indicate that it's not deep in the Sunday Storm or anything like that. This seems like a terrible fold

If you were say otb pre ante I could advocate a fold believe it or not. But being in the bb and haveing put 1/3 of our stack and the small blind looms I would go with it even though we are clearly behind and we have to flip it three ways - although a triple up isn't bad either.

Re: *** Official SSMTT quick checkup thread ***

Don't post a bad beat under the guise of a strategy post.

Flop raise is OK w/ your backdoor equity and gutshot but this is a board that's going to smash your opponents often so I don't love it. When he bets so tiny I probably just call flop and hope for a check-check turn if I miss. As played I probably just shove turn but you played it fine.

Re: *** Official SSMTT quick checkup thread ***

It doesn't look to much like bbv hand to me.

I would call otf. Not much FE especially on the wet board that hits their range and with the other chap in the hand.

As played yup not folding ott.

Re: *** Official SSMTT quick checkup thread ***

Thank u guys...I asked did I made a mistake because of my raise on the flop, I also think I should just call...He shove with just 4% to win a hand and 8% for gutshot, but with 10 otr he will not win hand, so he just had 2 Queens as outs...Thanks again

The problem with 44 here is we dont really have the odds to set mine and even if we iso say 3.2x after the limp we risk a large portion of our stack and then we have to play post flop with a hand that doesn't post flop well. I dont think im comfortable gii with anyone else other than the short co and if we iso and he ships it im still kinda hating it.

I would likely fold in this spot pre.

Im on the fence as to whether or not I would just ship it otf. I likely would as we are still 35% vs a made flush and he's gonna be tempted to call with a naked heart of which we have like over 70% equity I think. As played ott is good and yah fold that river sadly.

Re: *** Official SSMTT quick checkup thread ***

With this sizing pre you get into a tough spot when called with 1 PSB behind when you miss. You coul raise to 1300 pre which enables you to play post but with 1300 in the pot already i would just shove pre here.

Just shove pre with ur stack. As played shove flop. Villains range should be more broadway than pair heavy. If its a trap then ul, but I am not folding or checking this flop.

fold, fold, fold, HERO?

Nash says this is a push but given that he's "taggy" and a winner although he has only played 59 games running 89% roi - so he might have an idea of push fold ranges here yet the bubble for final table might create a different dynamic. What's your thoughts - just ignore that and go with Nash?

Re: *** Official SSMTT quick checkup thread ***

am I getting a bit overzealous here? should I just be dumping this pre or is that too results oriented? ITM of the big 4.40 yesterday, about 400ish left. Blinds 600/1200, I'm sitting on 17.5k

In MP2 with AJo. no reads on anyone, only been at the table 9 or 10 hands

???????????

I'm feeling inclined to open here for 2.2x as opposed to open jamming. And cBet most good flops for 3.1x. 10BB is still very playable if we don't win/get folds.

Spoiler:
I like a bigger bet on the flop for a few reasons. When you check raise the turn, pot is bigger, his bet is bigger and he gets committed most easily.

And this board can hit a pretty big range, and we can get calls from lots of weaker hands. I'd go ~2400

Re: *** Official SSMTT quick checkup thread ***

If you're opening a lot and that s your standard cbet size I don't object to it. If you're palying against fish then just bet bigger. Same if you were taggy but sounds like you were active.

A check raise all in line is pretty nutted unless you would play a redraw that way. It's hard to balance this play because of the variance ... I personally think you gt better results by just cbetting your entire continuing range on that turn folding your weak bluff hands to a raise and raising your big hands/draws on all the rest.

It's def a cEv+ call, it's breakeven when his pushing range is as near as 9% and I would say an unknown is shoving wider, nc imo.

I thought I had to shove, would it be better to minraise/fold to a shove here?
Table wasn't that loose, I had a tight image too
