Micro MTT Full Video -no commentary-

Alright i made this for a friend who requested a full game with no or very minor edits. So here it is. As a little background this is a the 11:40 am est "fast fifty". I play this typically as a warm up to the 1$ 400$ gtd Dazzler that starts at 12:15 pm est. The starting stack is 2k in chips and usually if i can survive my first double up im allowed to play my A game. Which is to find spots and rake pots. I really can't explain how nice it is to play a game where the outcome is almost meaningless in terms of monies gained. It really allows you to make different plays and experiment.

Well here it is:

You may wonder what the other games are and i apologize as my focus was mainly on producing a start to finish mtt game.

Please feel free to add any thoughts or comments.

Good of you to post these here (assuming you're competent lol). They're hugely beneficial to micro players who haven't invested in coaching or a coaching site.

edit - 5 minutes in... nvm lol nice thought though

Ime you can wait for hands in micro games and hope to hold or you can try and find alternative sources of chips to help insulate any losses you may incur not holding on big hands.

Im more then sure if you watch the whole thing you'll even see me float a bet preflop with air to c/r on flop. An action that i dont condone for most players starting off.

Limping is a huge problem in micros. Most of these guys are looking to hit broadway or two pairs everyhand. As a result i always try and thin the herd preflop if possible and rely on my spider sense on flops that dont benefit me.

The whole purpose of posting these is to provide a starting point. Through discussion and analyses i hoped others and myself included could learn from the advice of players like yourself. So instead of saying nice try, perhaps explain the issue you have with the hand so others can benefit.

Thanks for the comment and i hope you understand where im coming from.

You need to limp less.

Re: Micro MTT Full Video -no commentary-

Here are some comments on the first half of the first video.

1:30 - KQo - Raising preflop should be profitable. When you flop top pair, just lead out. There's no guarantee that anyone will bet.

3:49 - 76o - Fold pre. Yeah, you're on the button, but it doesn't change the fact you have a bad hand.

5:25 - QJo - Fold pre from EP. 2.8x is too small of a standard raise with a limper.

5:48 - J8s - Fold pre.

7:27 - 44 - Reraising all in is an option, depending on how aggressive you think the PFR is, but it's good to realize that the implied odds are iffy in that spot. Don't post what you folded in chat.

9:00 - 99 - Raise pre.

10:30 - QQ (Fixed limit) - Raise pre; don't slowplay. Bet flop. Bet turn > c/r turn because you'll get 2 bets from the passive players more often when they call it one bet at a time.

15:42 - 8732ss (O8) - Fold pre. Hands like this aren't going to make the nuts enough to justify playing. I'm not even sure I like the flop call, despite the flush draw and gutshot straight draw. You only have 3 outs to the nut hand, and you can still be beat by flush/FH redraws.

18:15 - QQ - With 10 BBs left, your only choices should be all-in or fold. I think you saw why the flop bet was bad; it's just going to create awkward situations without giving you any extra value. Why are you showing down what you fold when you don't have to!? I am going to allow myself to troll you here and note that it's a bit ironic that you typed "thats why i love these games. easy action" just after you got pwned on a minraise on the Axx board.

22:50 - QJo - I'd shove that. The limper probably folds a lot (or you have plenty of equity when he does), and the 625 chips in the pot is almost 1/3 your stack.

ya sorry I was groggy and that was kind of a dick comment by me. I just saw the 99 limp and you're playing passively for my taste.

I really can't thank you enough for taking the time and effort to elaborate on the hands in the video. My sincere thanks!!!!!

I understand fully. I was even debating taking the video down after reading the comment. Then i thought about renaming it "what not to do" lol. I don't want to come off as someone saying this is how to play. I just wanted to make an interactive tool for players to use to develop opinions of their own in relation to the right play.

Really the tool is of no use unless its deconstructed by better players allowing players like myself to gain perspective on how it should be done.

So in essence the more u find wrong the more complete the video becomes. Ive since linked the thread to the description so people can follow along and possibly add to what Sopo has already started. I would paste comments into the videos comments but the max is 500 characters so its better to do it this way.
