Turn brings my backdoor flush door, but the river bricks.
Is this a realy bad play from me? I figured I had the very last of my fold equity here and that maybe 33% of the time I would take it down there and then.
If called I would have at least 6 outs and possibly the backdoor flush draw. Obviously I didnt want a call!
This was my first hand on this table after my previous table broke.
A move born out of sheer desperation/panic! I figured if I check raised I would have absolutely NO fold equity, and if i were to bet 1/2, 1/3 pot I would be pot committed anyway. Hence my decision to overbet jam.
The average stack was about 40,000. Folding here would have left me 18k. My shove got me a 33% shot of attaining 50,000. The math says i needed a 40% shot. But, that math is only for this particular result.
Thanks for any thoughts/advice.
