PART 1
5.50 Ignition MTT
6 handed at the moment about 27 away from money

125/250/25

UTG (44 bb's)
UTG+1 (12 bb's)
HJ (17bb's)
Hero BU (29 bb's)

Were dealt 33 on button.

UTG limps
UTG1 limps
HJ limps
Hero raises to about 900

Pretty weak passive table for most part. I probably would have called off shoves from the two shorter stacks in the hand.

What do you think about this raise/steal? Is raise size too small, should we raise to around 1,200?
Too ambitious, should we just limp behind?

Your 6 handed but have omitted the SB and BB stacks. What were they? This has an impact on the answers you will get.

You say the table is weak passive but you're willing to call off a shove from the short stacks with 33. I assume one of the 'short stacks' you refer to is the HJ. You shouldn't be calling off over half your stack with 33 here if he limp shoves.

Have these guys been limp calling a lot or limp folding? Or limp raising?

This is a $5 tournament on Ignition, the players are generally very weak. I thought this would be a decent time to steal a good size pot pf. Nobody has shown any kind of strength and I didn't feel anybody was strong.
With the UTG's stack size (12bb's) I would guess that he'd at least raise/shove any kind of decent hand, pair, big ace, broadway, in which sometimes I'd be flipping, can't be the worst scenario for 12 bb's.
The players were limping in often, never saw a limp raise, only limp/call/fold.

Ok, so I kind of botched this hand a little. The previous hand the BB was knocked out, so THIS hand there was no SB and the player that I thought was UTG was actually just the BB. When I play it on my replayer, it looks as if the BB limps for whatever reason.

So... UTG limped, HJ limped, I raise 3.6x on button, BB, UTG and HJ all call.

I mainly meant I'd call off the UTG if he shoved.

Limping behind would be my preferred option. You're IP with the chance to flop a set against weak players for a minimum investment.

the problem you will encounter here a lot of time is that weak passive players wont fold to a 3 bet very often and you're most likely to be playing this hand multiway which isn't good and if someone does decide to shove then you probably have to fold most of the time. I think it's best to just flat here and 3 bet/GIII your pocket pairs with 99+
