It's okay since they have worse draws in their range. And you have decent equity with your two overs and straight dreezy against jacks or tens that are bet/calling.

And with your uncapped range raising over their lead, that could partly be to see where they're at, you have a tad bit of fold equity.

But this is why it's best way to shippity dip it in before the flop.

To avoid these marginal/awkward situations post where it can sometimes be difficult to determine what the optimal line is.

When it's always a clear +EV jam pre, 22BB effective facing a limp.

I'd like shoving pre....as said above, I hate these situations when I don't hit, stacks are shallow and we exactly dunno what to do - there is space for making huge mistakes

Always worth asking why villain would lead out after you raised him in position pre. And for half pot too. Have you shown a tendency to back off in spots like this?

If he has a draw, he would most likely check-shove rather than lead out. Unless he has a read that you might not CB there. Possibility 2 is he has a monster, like TT/JT/22, and he's hoping to induce a raise. Most marginal hands (QJ/KJ/T9/J9 types) would likely check-call.

I guess I prefer a shove too preflop. You can win 3,5BBs without showdown, or have great equity when called.
Isolating is okay-ish but I prefer the above line, because if we miss, AKo plays pretty poorly.

What bothers me the most if the shove on the flop over his lead.
We have two overs and a gutshot. The gutshot should be live, but we have no idea if our overcards are. Also he was passive preflop and now he's showing interest in the pot, I doubt he's ever folding here.
He has a lot of Toppairs in his range maybe JT, TdXd, 9d8d, KQ maybe. Even if has just a Flushdraw, we are still barely ahead and is probably never folding that if he decided to lead the flop with it in the first place.
I know we need some semi-bluffs here. But AKo is just realy bad on this texture. We got way better hands to bluffshove with: KQ, Adxd, 9d8d (if we iso with that pre?). These hands have way more ways to improve if he does call - which I think he does quite often.

preflop is fine, imo. obv you can shove AK, but i like raise and play in position.

I would just call flop, and then ship turn if he checks. If he barrels turn, I'd have to give him credit.
