I have JJ utg+1 w 19bb's.

There are 4 players behind that have under 7 bb's, the other 3 players have me covered.

should I open here or just shove?

I should add that this is on Ignition and the players are EXTREMELY nitty and don't understand proper push/fold strategy and will often flat with shortstacks.

Minraise for sure. Leave them room to get it in wider/make mistakes pre and potentially postflop.

I wouldn't shove or minraise. Shoving is assuming too much risk with 19bb and several stacks that have you covered. Minraising runs the risk that you get several calls and have to play OOP.

I'd make a more standard raise to 3x. That might actually entice one of the shorties to shove with hands they would fold to your shove, and can give you an escape if one of the big stacks decides to 3b.

I'm rarely ever folding JJ pf with 19bb's, but I do like the idea of a larger pf open.

r/c - people will come over the top with smaller pairs so not folding preflop.
i'd prob r/c TT+ maybe shove 88-99 (assuming reasonable sized antes}

I like the logic of raising ~3x so some smaller pairs and hands we are in good shape against shove into us (but potentially running away from larger stack 3Bs). Understanding this, I revise my previous position.

if your standard pre flop raise is a min raise, then min raise it. Don't get unbalance with your bet sizing when you have a big hand as this is very exploitable.

As played you can go either way between an open raise or a shove depending on table dynamics.

people say this kida **** all the time (no offence) but try playing 12 tables at a time and worry about table dynamic

Then just pre set your opening sizes the same it's not hard to pre set them
