ITT We Range a Fish

Hey Guys,

Opponent in this hand is a nitty old man. We are playing a $110 Re Entry MTT with ~ 5 tables at a local casino. In 30 minutes noone has raised preflop yet. No one has C/R or raised without the nuts post flop.
Although we also haven't seen someone turn over AA, KK, or QQ after limping pre flop either.
Effective stacks 10k. Blinds 50/100. Re entry period is not over

MP (Ends up being our villain) Limps, HJ, CO both Limp
Hero raises to 650 from the SB. All call.

Flop
K86hh.
Hero Checks.
MP bets 700, 2 folds.

On such a small bet, what do we put him on, and what do we do with the following hands:
44
88
AK
AJhh
T9hh
T9o

Re: ITT We Range a Fish

Are we trying to range you? or the old nitty guy?

And was the old nitty guy fat? If he's fat, I would fold OTF cause they always have 66

44 - fold
88 - raise
AK - shove
AJhh - call
T9hh -call
T9o -fold

That's how I would play, but saying that AK might be a fold OTF.

Villain can have all sorts - Kx, 8x, 99-TT hearts. Wouldn't read much into the bet sizing coz live players are very bad at it

Re: ITT We Range a Fish

he's never got kings, he might have JJ,TT,99,88,66, random king, random heartdraw (you can rule some out if you've got hearts, but not too many as fat old men like to play Q7s)

44 - limp, fold now
88 - bet
AK - bet
AJhh - bet
T9hh - limp, bet now
T9o - limp pre, fold now

Re: ITT We Range a Fish

lol @ fat post.

I was SB in this hand :P.
Thought it was interesting. Here is the thing though:
Nitty old men with made hands, even strong ones, HATE flush draws right? So they ALWAYS bet bigger with the FD Sooooooo by process of elimination

He has a middle pair 99-QQ, or a flushdraw? Right? And not much else

99-QQ
So villian bets 700 into 2700, that is an interesting probe bet, casue with the K on board he is obviously worried about the K.

Re: ITT We Range a Fish

I didn't say it makes sense to us, we are trying to get in a fishies head. What else is he betting *only* 700 into that board with that pot size?

And yall need to learn to be more aggresive pre. Honestly.
