This is push/fold for 2bb with antes from UTG. doesnt get lower than 2bb on charts.

Ive heard people say "any two" two and others "about 70%" when sitting at around 1bb with antes

Is it any two because of all the antes? If you would have a bit less than 1bb left without the antes, then you should be much tighter?

without antes you could in theory wait for a better hand as you won't be ante'd out but you should never be on 1bb unless you just lost a huge hand all in.

Having 1/6th of your stack in the pot doesnt make you committed with any two in general, same goes for 1/4th of your stack in. So why should it be any two with 6 antes? Cuz "Luls I got so few chips left, better just shove it in any two, since Im tilted and wanna gtfo"?

There's no explanation needed really. You need to shove any 2.

The explanation is that it is +ev to shove any two at a certain point. 72o is at worst a 2:1 underdog against a random hand, so if your stack is small enough relative to the blinds and antes (such that you are getting better than 2:1 on your money), it is profitable to shove ATC. This is the same principle for why it is profitable sometimes to complete in the SB or call a raise in the BB with ATC.

I would generally agree with this strategy but in this case having one bb (or less) I doubt you would be able to fold into the money.

There's no mention of ITM after all these posts so you have to assume he's not. The blinds are also 400/800 - I'm struggling to think of a tournament where payouts begin at this buyin level.
