You could check the river as like a very strong bluff catcher but I think the river bet is probably correct. After he shoves though there's not much you're beating here. Even if he has an 8, the only 8 you're beating is 98... maybe 58 but there are so many hands he could check back the turn with that have you crushed, straights, flushes, sets.
    sigh fold.

It's extremely unusual for this to be a bluff - though I guess he showed it down so maybe this was the exception?

No, he showed T9 no heart for a straight. Kind of loose open and I would expect him to bet this hand on the turn??? ...and just call the river...

    river is a b/f imo.

We can get value from Ax but if they raise then we're behind like 99% of the time.

Personally I would have folded flop or checked river as played. This hand seems to me more about getting the small stack eliminated, by checking down. I know players are stupid enough to bluff in these obvious spots where the small stack is all in, but your stack is too important to risk with only 30BB and only one yet eliminated. Just my two cents.

good pre because of pot odds, call flop well, turn also, river if u bet what u obtain?a call from weak aces many folds and shoves from better hands. Not a river board to obtain value. If u just check/call u give ur opponent a chance to bluff and u Maintain the pot small in case things go bad with a better expectation.

I agree with the bet fold OTR, people just don't bluff enough here for this to be a call
