FT 29bb vs aggro fish. Ever fold? FT 29bb vs aggro fish. Ever fold?

Hi guys,

Basically I just wanted to check with the community to make sure we can never fold this hand, particularly at this stack depth (sorry was 32bb) and vs this aggro fish.

Please see link for hand as HH converter not working, thanks.

I thought about making the fold on this turn as 98 gets his straight but I decided to just jam it. I think V could have AJ, maybe even KJ but a little unlikely, KQ and random FD's. I do block Ac which sucks but again, I think I'm ahead of enough of the fish's range.

Are we playing it differently, can we ever check flop with Ac and get all value on 2 streets? Checking flop feels a bit too nitty imo. What are you guys thoughts?

You can never check that flop, way too wet. And I think I am going broke here also but I think I am just calling turn because it's hard to get called by worse since you have a club.

As usual, I think Kev has it right on here. I go busto as well. Kev, do we value our Ac more as a blocker to the nut flush draw or just a blocker to any flush draw?

Yeah I had the same thought, but the reason i jammed was the spr was **** and would need to call it off on the river anyway so I just threw it all in. Saving having to call on a bad river card, probably not that great logic but yeah.

Thanks for the analysis guys

I think it is a bad ace to have here, it makes it more likely that villain has a value hand in this spot rather than a flush draw. If we didn't have the club, I think jamming on the turn is the right play but I'm not sure.

Vs an aggro fish id be licking my lips getting action from him on the FT holding aces, disgusting spot but you cant get away from it. Id maybe call down instead of shoving the turn but yeah... it was always going in the middle.

Oh and also i like checking the flop sometimes, if aggro fish has a tendency to bet flops vs missed cb's.

may sound crazy but there's an argument for b/f flop. Because it is a final table, it's okay to sometimes fold the best hand and avoid an ICM disaster. It's also worth noting we have the Ac in our hand so we block a lot of the hands we would be ahead of.

That being said given your read on V I'm probably going broke too.
