Fold to turn overbet vs lag? Fold to turn overbet vs lag?

Middle of the itm stage of a $1 tournament, I've been avoiding utg because he likes to put lots of pressure on his opponents post flop and the rest of the table was very weak passive. UTG's effective turn shove to me seems strong after his donk otf. I just figured I was never in good shape here with 1 person left to act and I would still have a more than playable stack left against a weak field.

This is usually a fold readless, these big overbets like this are usually always the goods, looks to me like he has a set/2p here, also at this price you have to right quite often for it to be profitable..

I would only call if I had a specific read on the player that lead me to believe I had the best hand.

In-game as played I'm probably folding turn too, but I wouldn't blame you if you called, he could easily have AT or Ad9d and weird stuff.
But most of the time this looks like a set or 2-p that got called by 2 opponents and is going for full value.
Also as sooted said you have to be right oftenly like 40% so it doesn't worth it. So make a note and move on

Also raise otf doesn't sound bad, it also mixes it up against light raises vs donks

Your iso needs to be bigger pre.

Even the dumbest fish playing from their trailers in Alabama know you have an ace - they always put you on big slick by default LOL so yeah sigh fold. The fact that you posted this implies that you had a bluff catcher.
