Hi everybody. Played this hand vs loose-passive player. Flop he fast c-bet all in 60 bb in position at the early stage of the tournament. Should I call or fold?
I decided to call only because it's too stupid to push 60bb with an over pair or set or whatever else. But yes, sometimes these loose-passive players all ins with a really good hand.
I mean, how strong was your read that this guy was passive? Because when he 3b this hand and then totally donks out on the flop he doesn't really seem like a passive player to me. The complete opposite in fact.
When a player suddenly plays the opposite of their image, watch out. Your read is he's loose-passive but then he 3-bets in MP against an EP raise, then shoves a low flop. Do you really think he'd play 88 this way? Or many overcard combos?
Hos range is going to be JJ-AA/AK very often here, against which you're a 2:1 underdog. You would have to include AQ and AJ in his range to make this a call, and even then it is a flip for 2/3 of your stack.
I agree, it's too risky to go all in with 60 bb, especially against a loose-passive player. On the other side, they are doing the same move with ace high or even worse. Anyway, it's a fold unless I have a notes on him. Thanks all for help!
