so i've played around 300 tourneys at this point, and have had my most profitable month of my life. I'm starting to get really lazy now, I'm getting it in bad at times when I know it could be avoided, and I sort of think I'm tilting, but not in a way I ever have before. more like I know I'm good, and I expect to win more often than I lose, even if I don't put the same effort into it. I'm taking a break now since I haven't blown too many buy ins, and I'm going to study for a few days and maybe meditate. has anyone ever gone through something like this before/what was your experience

My game has deteriorated after about 2.5 months of full time play, as a result of my brain not getting enough rest. But I was doing fine till then.

There is a limit in what my brain can take, and it is not only about poker, but also about esports, that loads one visually more than poker does -- poker loads the thinking more, more like Hearthstone (a card game); but when I "psychologically" can't play video games, after one week of rest I can already play plenty enough card games, although not having the full (video game) recovery yet, but I feel much more comfortable and not ready to play visually demanding video games.

There might be something in variety, but likely mostly in different kind of activities that load the brain more or less differently (I couldn't play any other video game either, but I can play card games, and more or less the other way around), in case one might not need as much a break or complete rest.

It might be that some parts in your brain get too loaded or just "bored" or insensitive, after too much play, or and little variety. Being a machine might help, but we are not all machines.
