Blinds 30/60

Villain1 in Hijack with 5k raises to 120
Hero in cutoff with 6.2K with 2♦️2♠️ Calls 120
Villain2 on Button with 4.6K calls 120
Blinds fold, pot 480

Flop is 7♥️ 2♥️ 6♣️
Villain1 bets 200
Hero raises to 780
Villain2 calls 780
Villain1 folds
Pot 2,240

Turn is A♥️
Hero checks
Villain2 bets out 1,080
Hero calls 1,080
Pot 4,400

River is 9♥️
Hero checks
Villain2 is all in for 2.7K
Hero folds

My question is should we lead out on turn? Villain2 felt like he was on a flush draw after calling my flop reraise. No read on players as it was too early. Possible villain has A7?

Think of bottom set as the top two pair. You only get paid here by two pair and bluffs. However, as played you kept his bluff range in full bore, but all it takes to beat you is any heart. That river 9h actually blocks a lot of villains bluffs, and completes his hand with the rest of his range.

Ugh, as played I think we fold river, but I would rather bet turn and call any shove there instead.

Folding a bottom set on a scary turn card would be too weak-tight, but folding on this river seems like a reasonable option, as is calling.

I would fold, it is a tourney and when a call is super sick and painful, folding conserves your chips.

I usually fire out a turn bet 90% of the time here. But it just felt like a flush. The action in front of him was bet and reraise. Would he really fire out a bet on turn with a 7?

If you felt it was a flush, and changed your line as such, then just fold river. The reason I would have bet/called all in on the turn is that way you get value from everything but higher sets, plus you have lots of equity versus a made flush. All that added together, is better than calling both turn and river, obviously.

As played is fine. I was just discussing the river fold, and agreeing to fold river.
