I folded on the flop, with one bet and a call right behind me. Figured I was beat - Thoughts? River came another ace.

You aint prized in to call out of blinds though.. so I would say fold pre as well, and don't be result oriented. :-)

One of the reasons we should fold pre is because of spots like this. When we make a one pair hand on the flop with A9, we are rarely comfortable with it.

So Yes, we conclude that I should've folded pre - but you guys agree on the fold on the flop yes? For future spots. One bet and call behind me with top pair middle kicker.

So again what is the point of playing this hand if we have to fold flop often when faced against aggression.

I understand, but what is your opinion on the hand if, lets say I'm in the big blind with the same hand, and button opens, small blind calls - then would you say it's okay to call?? If I hit top pair in that situation, I wouldn't say it's a fold on the flop with a bet and a call behind me - or is it? I just need to fully figure

If button opens your bb then you should be raising a9 a good amount of the time. Not a good calling hand due to the high reverse implied odds
